Gautam Buddha University to Accept Applications for 16 New Courses for Admissions 2024

New Delhi: Admissions for Gautam Buddha University (GBU) for the academic session 2024-25 now include brand-new courses such as BTech in Robotics and AI and MBA in Business Analysis and Data Sciences. 

GBU admissions 2024 have started from February 27, 2024. The last date to apply online is April 25, 2024. The tentative date for the Gautam Buddha University Entrance Test (GBU-ET) is May 12, 2024.

GBU is accepting admissions for all 4,202 seats in the 155 UG and PG courses this year. Among those, 16 new courses have been added for the academic year 2024-25. This includes UG and PG courses such as:

  • BTech Mechanical Engineering with specializations including Automobile and Industrial Engineering, and Mechatronics and Automation 
  • BTech in Robotics and AI
  • BTech Mathematics and Computing
  • BSc (Hons) in Forensic Science
  • BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science
  • BA (Hons) in Sanskrit
  • MBA in Business Analytics and Data Science
  • MLISc
  • MTech in ICT
  • MA (Hons) in Sanskrit, Public Policy, Governance, or Human Rights
  • MSc in Geology or Applied Chemistry

Eligibility for the new courses available at GBU for 2024 admissions is subject to change from course to course. However, the base requirements are as follows:

  • For UG Courses: 10+2 examination in relevant/any stream (depending on the course) with minimum 45% marks (45% in case of SC/ST Category). The minimum percentage for some courses is also 55% aggregate (50% in case of SC/ST Category).
  • For PG Courses: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized University with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent GPA. Some UG degrees allow lateral entry from other disciplines.

Admission to GBU is done either based on merit or entrance exams. The university accepts entries through national-level entrance tests like CAT, MAT, GMAT, CLAT, CMAT, XAT, SET, NET, JRF, etc. It also conducts its own entrance exams like GBU-ET, GPTU, GPT, and GPTR conducted by the University.
