NTA released GAT-B and BET 2026 admit cards on May 13, 2026. Candidates can download their hall tickets from exams.nta.nic.in using Application Number and Password. The exam will be held on May 17, 2026 across 54 cities in Computer-Based Test mode.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released admit cards for Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B) and Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2026 on May 13, 2026. Candidates who registered for these national-level entrance exams can now download their admit cards from the official NTA website.
The examination will be conducted on May 17, 2026 (Sunday) in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across 54 cities throughout India. GAT-B is an all-India entrance examination for admission to DBT-supported Post Graduate programmes in Biotechnology and allied areas at participating institutions and universities.
BET is the national qualifying examination for award of Doctoral Research Fellowships under the DBT-Junior Research Fellowship (DBT-JRF) Programme. Both exams will be held on the same day with different timings to assess candidates' eligibility for their respective programmes.

How to Download GAT-B and BET 2026 Admit Cards?
- Candidates must visit the official NTA website at exams.nta.nic.in to download their admit cards.
- They need to enter their Application Number and Password to access the hall ticket.
- The admit card contains essential information including exam center location, date, timing, and candidate details that must be verified carefully.
The admit card is issued provisionally, subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions. Candidates should not mutilate the admit card or make any changes to entries. A clear printout of the admit card on A4-size paper must be brought to the examination center.
The admit card will not be sent by post, so candidates must download it from the official website only. Candidates must bring a printed copy of their admit card, one passport-size photograph (same as uploaded during registration), and any one authorized government photo ID (PAN card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, or Aadhaar Card).
PwD/PwBD certificate should be carried if claiming relaxation under disability category. A simple transparent ball point pen and personal hand sanitizer (50 ml) are also permitted.

GAT-B and BET 2026 Exam Pattern and Duration
Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B) consists of 160 questions divided into two sections with a total duration of 180 minutes (3 hours). Section A has 60 compulsory questions of 10+2 level carrying 1 mark each. Section B has 100 questions from which candidates must attempt 60 questions, each carrying 3 marks. BET also has 180 minutes duration with 200 questions divided into two sections, requiring candidates to attempt 100 questions total.
GAT-B and BET 2026 Examination Centers Across 54 Cities
The examination will be conducted at different centers located in 54 cities throughout the country. Candidates' exam center city was allotted based on their choices during registration. The city for examination center cannot be changed after the correction window closes. Candidates should verify their allotted center details on the admit card and plan their travel accordingly.
GAT-B and BET 2026 Reporting Time and Entry Guidelines
Candidates must report at the examination center at the time mentioned on their admit card to avoid crowding. Entry into the center will be stopped 30 minutes before the exam starts. Late entry to examination premises is not permitted under any circumstances. Biometric information of all candidates will be captured, and identity checks will be conducted upon arrival at the test center.
Prohibited Items and Rules
Candidates are strictly prohibited from carrying mobile phones, calculators, electronic gadgets, textual materials, or any stationery items into the examination hall. Smoking, chewing gutka, and spitting are strictly prohibited. Possession of any prohibited items will be treated as unfair means and may lead to cancellation of candidature and debarment from future examinations.

What’s Next for Students
After the examination, NTA will display recorded responses and provisional answer keys on the website for candidate challenges. Candidates can challenge answer keys by paying Rs. 200 per question as a non-refundable processing fee.
Results will be declared based on the final answer key after expert examination of all challenges. Score cards can be downloaded from the NTA website only. In case of difficulty downloading the admit card or discrepancies in the data, candidates can contact NTA Helpline at 011-40759000 or 011-69227700.
