Woxsen University’s School of Arts & Design (SOAD) recently welcomed senior leadership from Salesforce USA and India. The esteemed guests included Jennifer Bove, Executive Design Leader at Salesforce; Adam Doti, Design Architect and Design Advocate at Salesforce; Hrishikesh Deshmukh, Director of UX Design at Salesforce; and Parag Trivedi, Sr. Director of User Experience at Salesforce. Their arrival was a part of the ongoing partnership between Woxsen and Salesforce, enhancing the connection between academia and industry.

The main objective of the engagement was to enhance global partnerships, promote innovation, and offer Woxsen students a unique platform to showcase their projects. During the last three months, Woxsen students have been working on an industry problem statement provided by Salesforce. With guidance from the Salesforce team, this initiative has been crucial in developing creative problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary learning.
During the visit, the leadership team from Salesforce had the opportunity to see the projects developed by Woxsen students, including:
- Serpentine Synthesis (Fashion Design): An innovative method that combines biomimicry with textile innovation for sustainable fashion.
- Teraguard (Industrial Design): A smart protective system that improves safety through advanced industrial design principles.
- XR in Interior Design (Interior Design): An integration of extended reality to create immersive spatial experiences.
- UI & UX Gamer Collaboration (Communication Design): A cutting-edge interface designed to improve gaming collaboration and progress monitoring.
A key highlight of this partnership has been the three-month-long design challenge, during which the students utilized their skills to address real-world problems with the assistance of industry experts. This visit allowed the Salesforce team to evaluate the students’ progress, share insights, and provide valuable feedback.
The Dean of the School of Arts & Design emphasized that participation in such events provides Woxsen students with essential learning opportunities, enhances creative problem-solving skills and reinforces the university's dedication to multidisciplinary innovation.
The discussions held during the event create opportunities for possible future collaborations, including joint research projects, co-designed curricula, internship possibilities, and industry-driven design challenges. The collaboration between Woxsen University and Salesforce is set to transform the landscape of design education and technological advancement.
