OBC Scholarship Assam 2023-24 for Post-Matric students is an initiative of the Government of Assam to assist students in Class 11 and above, financially for their studies and other expenses. It is an initiative by the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Assam. This will give financial support to continue their higher studies. The selected candidates will receive an academic allowance and other benefits from the State Government.

Application for OBC Scholarship Assam 2023-24 for Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship for SC, ST and OBC students of Assam are now open. The last date to submit the online application form is 5 December 2023. It is a centrally sponsored scholarship scheme by the Government of India for students of Assam. Students who passed HSLC/AHM examination or Matriculation with at least 55% and continuing their Higher studies are eligible to apply. Students who want to pursue professional courses like BE, B Tech, BDS, and MBBS can apply for the scheme.

- Step 1: Study the guidelines on the official website of Directorate of Welfare of Plain Tribes & Backward Classes.
- Step 2: Navigate to 'Applicant Corner'and click on 'New Registration'.
- Step 3: Click on 'Click here for other Scholarship Schemes hosted on NSP for AY 2023-24'.
- Step 4: Select the state of domicile (Assam), scholarship category (Pre Matric/Post-metric), scheme type (scholarship scheme), and gender, and write the applicant's name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID. The application form can be applied through both online and offline modes. For offline mode, candidates must download the Assam scholarship form pdf from the official website and fill out the application form correctly.
- Step 5: Provide the bank details (Bank Account name, IFSC Code, Account Number)
- Step 6: Select your Aadhaar or Bank Account Number as identification detail and click on the 'Register' button.
- Step 7: Your mobile number will be verified and an OTP will be generated.
- Step 8: Now, log in using OTP and fill out the application form with all details.
- Step 9: Recheck the filled-out form and then submit the application form.
- Step 10: After successful submission of the application form, an application ID and password will be generated which can be used for future references.
- Step 11: Save the application form and take some printouts of the application form.

Terms and Conditions of OBC Scholarships Assam
- The scholarship will be provided for studies in India only for candidates of Assam domiciles.
- The income certificate will have to be submitted only once at the time of admission to the course.
- The scholarship is provided only based on the satisfactory progress and conduct of the scholars in their respective schools and colleges.
- The applicants have to fill out the application form online, with the correct and verifiable details only.
- Only two boys with the same parents/guardian will be entitled to receive scholarships. (does not apply to girls).
- Scholarship holders who are getting coaching in any of the pre-examination training centres with financial assistance from the Central Government/ State Government will not be eligible for a stipend.
