The second-year exams for Regular, School of Open Learning, and Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board students have been rescheduled amidst the Yamuna flooding in Delhi.
New Delhi: In light of the flood-like situation in certain areas of Delhi, the University of Delhi has decided to postpone the DU Exams 2023 in order to facilitate the students.
A formal announcement has been made by Delhi University regarding the rescheduling of the second-year examinations for regular, School of Open Learning, and Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board students.
The revised dates for the theory exams originally planned for July 17, 18, and 19, 2023, have been rescheduled to July 26, August 1, and August 2 respectively. Similarly, the practical exams, initially slated for July 14, 15, and 16, will now take place on August 3, 4, and 5, 2023.
In accordance with the advisory released by Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), the University previously announced the closure of Delhi University from July 14 to July 16, 2023.
The Delhi University has released the UG Admission Schedule 2023, along with announcing the rescheduled exam dates. The Delhi University Admission 2023 to the UG courses will be conducted through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS), which takes into account the results of the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG).
According to the official schedule, the first CSAS admission list will be published on August 1 on the university's official website. Candidates who have qualified in CUET UG 2023 should be aware that the application process for CSAS phase 2 has begun today, July 17, and will remain open until July 24, 2023.
Meanwhile, the water level of the Yamuna River, which exceeded the previous record of 207.49 meters last week and reached 208 meters on July 12, continues to flow above the danger mark of 205.33 meters.
At noon, the water level in Delhi rose to 205.80 meters from 205.58 meters at 9 am. The water level was 205.52 meters on Sunday night. While the water level has receded in some areas around Delhi, several areas along the Yamuna River are still experiencing waterlogging.
