Along with the release of the second allotment list, candidates who are allotted seats are required to pay the confirmation fee to the Consortium if they choose the Freeze or Float option.

CLAT 2026 UG Second Round Counselling

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has published the CLAT 2026 Second Allotment List on January 22, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. With this announcement, the Second round of CLAT 2026 counselling has begun at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Candidates who appeared for the CLAT 2026 exam will be able to check their seat allotment through the official counselling portal. The Second allotment list mentions the name of the National Law University (NLU) allotted to candidates based on their rank, preference, and seat availability.

Along with the release of the Second allotment list, candidates who are allotted seats are required to pay the confirmation fee to the Consortium if they choose the Freeze or Float option. The payment window for the confirmation fee and admission process for the Second allotment list will remain open from 10:00 A.M. on January 22, 2026, to 1:00 P.M. on January 29, 2026.

CLAT 2026 UG Second Round Counselling Important Documents

  1. Class 10 (Grade 10) Marksheet.
  2. CLAT 2026 Admit Card.
  3. Class 12 (Grade 12) Marksheet.
  4. Character / Conduct Certificate from the last educational institution attended.
  5. Transfer / Migration Certificate from the last educational institution attended.
  6. Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC, etc.), if applying under a reserved category.
  7. PWD/SAP Certificate, if applying under the PWD category.
  8. Domicile / Residence Certificate, if applying under the domicile/resident category.
  9. Any other supporting documents* for the category applied, such as:

    • EWS Certificate.
    • Wards of Serving/Retired Defence Personnel.
    • Sons/Daughters of Ex-Servicemen or Defence Personnel.

Candidates who select the Freeze option in any round of CLAT counselling, from the first to the fifth round, must pay the remaining university fees at the allotted National Law University (NLU) within the prescribed deadline. The payable amount will be calculated after adjusting the counselling registration fee and confirmation fee already paid. If a candidate fails to pay the balance university fee on time, the candidate will be considered to have chosen the Exit option. As a result, the allotted seat will be cancelled, the confirmation fee will be forfeited, and the counselling registration fee will be refunded after a deduction of ₹5,000. Candidates are advised to strictly follow the counselling schedule.
