New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow has announced the CAT 2023 notification on July 30, 2023. Candidates can check the CAT 2023 notification on the official website of CAT 2023 i.e., iimcat.ac.in.
IIM Lucknow will conduct the CAT 2023 exam on November 26, 2023 and CAT 2023 registration will begin from August 2, 2023.
The scorecard of the CAT entrance exam is also accepted by about 1200 top B-schools in India for admission to the various management programs. Some of the top non-IIM MBA colleges accepting CAT 2023 are MDI Gurugram, SPJIMR, IMT, FMS, IITs, GIM, GLIM, LIBA, NITIE, MICA, IRMA, etc.
It is anticipated that more than 2.5 lakh people will register for the CAT 2023. In all, 2,22,184 persons applied for the CAT 2022.
For admission to several Management Programs across India, including elite institutions like IIMs, the CAT is a well-known national-level entrance exam. XLRI and JNU, both renowned colleges and universities that provide MBA Admissions, also consider CAT scores.

In keeping with the CAT format, the exam will take two hours. The CAT 2023 will have three categories: verbal aptitude and reading comprehension, data interpretation and logical reasoning, and numerical aptitude. The candidate will receive three points for each accurate response, but one point will be deducted for each incorrect one.

CAT 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Candidats planning to appear for CAT 2023 must check the below-mentioned eligibility criteria before applying for the examination:
- Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate for the General and NC-OBC categories (45% SC, ST, or PWD category candidates).
- Candidates in their final year of UG degree may also apply for the exam with the goal of graduating with the necessary scores. Candidates will have their admission revoked if they do not offer the same information during admissions.
- The candidates must be at least 18 years old to apply for CAT 2023.
- Candidates with a professional degree such as CA/ CS/ ICWA are also eligible to apply.
Note: Qualifying in CAT does not guarantee admission as institutes have further admission rounds, which may include written test, group discussion and personal interview.
How To Apply For CAT 2023?
The CAT Application Form 2023 will be available in online mode only from August 2, 2023. Check can follow the below-mentioned steps to apply for CAT 2023 exam:
Step 1: Head to the official website for CAT 2023 @iimcat.ac.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, under the “New Candidate Registration” section, click on the “Registration” tab for New User registration.
Step 3: Register yourself by providing the required details to generate registration credentials.
Step 4: Enter your registration credential and then click on the login button. Application form will be opened in the next window.
Step 5: Fill all the details required in the application form and upload the mentioned documents in the prescribed format.
Step 6 Proceed to pay the required application fee through any online payment gateway.
Step 7: Review all the details filled in the application form, then click on the submit button.
Step 8: Download and take printouts of the same for your future use.

Yes, CAT 2023 Application Correction Window will be open for the candidates in case of modifications and rectifications. The application correction will be tentatively available open on or till September 25, 2023.
No there is no age limit to appear for CAT 2023 exam. Candidates must have completed their undergraduate degree to be eligible to apply for the CAT 2023.
The CAT Exam Schedule has already been released. As per the schedule the exam will be conducted on November 26, 2023 in 3 slots. The morning slot will be held from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, the afternoon slot will be held from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM , and evening slot will be held from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) Delhi affiliated to the Delhi University will be offering admissions to its MBA programmes through CAT 2023. There are a total of 251 seats in the MBA programme. The annual tuition fee for MBA is Rs 10,480 per year.
There will be 3 sections in CAT 2023 exam:
- Section 1: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
- Section 2: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
- Section 3: Quantitative Ability
According to the CAT 2023 notification, 15% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST), 27% for Other Backward Classes candidates belonging to the “Non-Creamy” layer (NC-OBC), up to 10% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and 5% for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD) in CAT exam 2023.
Students who are appearing in the final year of bachelor’s degree can also sit for the CAT 2023. These candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally. They will have to submit a certificate from the principal or registrar of their institutes stating that they have completed all the requirements for obtaining the bachelor’s degree on the date of the issue of the certificate.
The IIM CAT question paper will have three sections -- verbal ability and reading comprehension (VARC), data interpretation and logical reasoning (DILR) and quantitative aptitude (QA). The candidates will have to attempt 66 questions in two hours.
CAT will be conducted in centres spread across 155 test cities. Test cities will be mentioned in the CAT website and the name of the test centre will be indicated in the Admit Card.
Registration fee of the CAT exam has increased for all categories. For unreserved candidates, the fee is ₹2,400 while it was ₹2,300 last year.
For SC, ST and PwD candidates, the fee has increased to ₹1200 from last year's ₹1150.
