Being a Faculty of the Department, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

Develop a methodology to educate students about the topic (problem-solving, small group discussions, etc.) and then implement the same in the classroom. I prefer audiovisual/multimedia materials for the topic presented. I don’t behave only as a faculty, I also behave as a mentor to my students. I will always be available for student consultation regularly, informing students of availability for student consultations (both with and without appointments and making sincere attempts to solve their difficulties (academic and personal counseling).

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

I take the time to know my students as individuals. I learn about their families, backgrounds, interests, likes and dislikes. As often as I can, provide flexibility and choice in assignments. I assess specific skills and knowledge. However, howstudents demonstrate these abilities may vary. I accept all students, despite their quirks and differences. I treat all students with the same respect and kindness and don’t allow students to tease or disrespect one another in my classroom. I create an environment where all children can feel welcome and comfortable.

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects and make it industry-oriented?

We can use these advancements to change teaching methods with the introduction of whiteboards, online resources, etc. Feedback is an essential component of practical pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning. For example, teachers may focus on their weak areas using feedback, and students can analyze their weak points and work on them efficiently. A visual representation is a great practical approach to teaching because it aids in the retention of information for a longer period. I take my feedback from students and give their feedback not only based on marks but the overall performance. I teach them in such a way that they can be aware of current advancements in the industry.

Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to real-world challenges?

Students’ lives are not restricted to textbook definitions and physics formulae to remember. Outer knowledge and wisdom are equally important. Non-academic helps the students in knowing what is happening in the outer world. Remember Rancho from the movie 3 Idiots? He said, ‘Pursue your passion as your career and then work will not feel like a burden.’ If truth be told, gone are the days when only Math and Science were considered as the only career options for students. I promote my students to be a part of extracurricular activities,

How does the college enhance the skills of the faculty and prepare them according to industry standards?

For enhancing the skills of faculty training sessions must be provided by experienced faculty or personality developers. Interaction of industrialists and faculty. Faculty must learn about new techniques from time to time.

What do you see as the department’s/ college’s greatest strengths and how it can be enhanced?

College's greatest strength according to teachers or from the point of view of students a good faculty is the greatest strength.

What valuable advice would you like to the students for them to have a prosperous career ahead?

I would like to say to students that to make a prosperous career students must be competitors of their self to get better day by day. Students must learn new things and be curious. A prosperous career needs a lot of sacrifices, hard work, and discipline to be successful and get yourself out of your comfort zone.
