You have held key positions at education institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

I have always loved education. Since childhood, I have loved teaching. I have been associated with this sector since a very young age and have developed a liking for this industry. Seeing the smiles and gratefulness in the eyes of my students gives me immense happiness and makes me feel content. I am very passionate about my work, so I feel that I will excel in this field. Without being extremely passionate about one’s work, it is not possible to excel

What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

I have always believed in democracy. I like to revive the responsibilities amongst the people working with me and around me so that they have the trust and faith in me in achieving objectives and the success of our organization. I always believe in working together rather than taking pride in individual performance. I highly oppose Autocracy and do not believe in that system. I believe that if you have the intent to work and achieve success then a few qualities like leadership start developing within you. Leadership means joining hands with your team to get the work done and achieve a common goal together. Success cannot be achieved alone, it has to be teamwork. Being able to motivate your team is one important aspect of being a true leader.

How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your College?

I believe instead of strategizing any sort of marketing program, effort should be given to making the cost of education less so that a greater part of our society can be a part of our organization and would help in the growth of the country. Our students help us spread the word and give us exposure in the market. Their word of mouth is our biggest promotion. Also, we do try to take the help of the social media channel like Facebook and try to reach out to the students

How does the curriculum at your College/University ensure the best practice of industry?

The curriculum is designed by the policy makers and the best practices are incorporated by the stakeholders. Both curriculum and the best practices do not go hand in hand. We try to follow the curriculum but also try to engage our students in different activities related to their field.

What do you think should be the university’s top priority over the next 10 years?

I believe instead of spending a humongous amount on marketing and creating state-of-the-art infrastructure, the cost of education should be brought down which would encourage the backward classes of our society to come forward and fulfill their dream of pursuing higher studies. A few crucial years have been lost in this pandemic and our educational system was brought to a standstill. I do not believe in online classes and am not a very big fan of it. Students as well as teachers have started taking advantage of it and the result is negatively impacting the entire educational system. Students have lost that interest and are also demotivated. The utmost priority should now be to revive the educational system so that its lost glory can be brought back.

What would you like people to know about your university they may not know?

Ours is an institute that is a student’s minion. They learn in the digital classrooms and luxuriate in the sprawling campus. The hallowed academic ambiance is the ripest fruit of a rare fusion of an updated curriculum and a trendsetting cluster of faculty members devoted to the upswing of future engineers. We feel proud that our institute is committed to spawning a spate of promising professionals in the years to come. And here’s our dream. A dream of propagating a new philosophy of learning, a dream of building up the cornerstone of a majestic nation by pouring forth a galaxy of most efficient think tanks and workhands.

What do you see as your college’s greatest strengths?

Discipline is one of our biggest strengths as without proper discipline no project or organization can succeed. We try to instill in our students the intent to work hard to achieve goals in life. Nothing comes easy, and there is no shortcut to life. Without working for it and trying to find a shortcut won’t take them the distance. Placement is also one of our strengths. We have tied up with institutes like NIT Silchar and try to bring the scholars from these institutes and arrange a workshop for around 1-2 months related to skill development for our students to give them exposure and confidence. We also conduct BOOT Camps for our students conducted by scholars from NIT Silchar, and NIT Durgapur to help them gain knowledge from experts.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

I want to advise students to focus on doing the work at hand perfectly and mastering it instead of thinking about which job is big and which is small, they should try to do it with perfection and honesty. No work is small if done with belief and dedication. I would like to add that they should take education seriously and should be a good human being in the society.
