BFIT Dehradun

19th June 2018: Dehradun: "Techno Jashnn" The Annual Sports meet of Baba Farid Institute of Technology, Dehradun was formally inaugurated on March 30, 2018, in its College Premises. Mr. Joginder Singh, Chairman, BFIT Group of Institution was the Chief guest of the meet who declared the meet was open in well-attended function.

Speaking on the occasion, the honorable chief guest Mr. Joginder Singh said, that apart from imparting academic knowledge to the students, various physical activities must also be encouraged for their overall development and BFIT is always trying to inspire its students for that. He also added that winning or losing is the part of the game but participating in all the sports activities is what that counts most.

Earlier, the program started with the lightening of the lamp by Honorable Chairman Mr. Joginder Singh followed by welcome address by Mr. Aninder Singh, Director, BFIT. Addressing the students, Mr. Singh said that sports could play a major role in promoting peace and brotherhood with an understanding of the global participation and philosophy of sport. He also congratulated the students for their active participation and well coordination under the supervision of main event coordinators Mr. Sethjeet Arora and Mr. Ravish Arora.

Prominent among those who attended the inaugural meet were Vice Chairman of BFIT, Registrar Mr. Bhupinder Singh, Chief Examination Controller Mr. Amarjeet Singh, Finance Controller Madam Vimaljeet, Academic Controller Madam Vineet, Controller of Industry Interface Madam Dipender and  Dr. Aslam Siddiqui, Principal BFIT.

The week-long sports meet had various sport and cultural competitions like Volleyball, basketball, Badminton, Athletics, Futsal, Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess and in cultural category - Duet Singing, Faceoff Dance, Painting, Treasure Hunt, Fashion Show, etc.
