As an In-charge of the Training and Placement office, my roles include:

  • Career Services to Students.
  • Network with local employers.
  • Arrange industrial visits in various industries.
  • To plan the hiring event.

Do you have any programs to enhance the skills of the students?

“Industrial visits and interactive training modules for students benefit”

Yes, we have. Instead of giving the traditional assignment to students I prefer industrial visit for real industrial exposure and report writing on the same. Also arrange the training of students in the midterm vacation, in this way students can gain the experience of facing real-world challenges.

What has been your vision for this college?

“To deliver more practical knowledge and improve students generic skills”

I came to this college in the year 2013 as a Workshop Superintendent. As I joined Agnel Technical College My vision was, “The student’s must obtain the necessary skills to be successful in the physical, mental and social aspects of their lives. Students will be able to effectively use the skills acquired to help identify and practically pursue any objectives as a technical student.”

To date, what has been your average package offered to the student?

“An annual salary package of 3.8 LPA offered by one of the top organizations”

To date, 3.8 lakhs is the highest package offered to our students. And it was offered by Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd. In the year 2016.

What are the interventions you bring in apart from the curriculum to teach the students?

“Educational fairs and awareness programs related to technical education are organized”

Changing the Negative perspective of society towards engineering education is the biggest intervention in the path of technical education. To change and overcome the view of society, we organize a campaign about technical education in various schools, and also arrange career fairs in the college and outside the college.

What do you see as the greatest strengths of Agnel Technical College?

“The smart and modern infrastructure along with the excellent location of this college”

Machine shops and various labs like Metrology, CAD-CAM lab etc. are some of the greatest strengths of Agnel Technical College. The location of our college is also playing a crucial role to attract students.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth?

“There should be an intense focus on acquiring skills to thrive in this industry”

Being technical students be skills-oriented rather than Percentage oriented, because skills play a vital role in your career, not numbers.
