Dr. Sachin Bhaskar is the Principal of Impact College, Patna. He has a PhD in CS, an M.Phil. in CS, and an M.Tech. in IT with an MCA degree. Dr. Bhaskar has 19 years of teaching experience in undergraduate, and postgraduate courses and software development. Furthermore, he has also acquired cognitive and teaching skills when working with NIT Patna, IGNOU, and other reputable universities.

Dr. Bhakhar is an External Examiner and one of the core members of course preparation at the institute. He has over 12 years of experience working as a Resource Person at the Government of Bihar to impart training to government officers and employees of various departments on modified software at BIPARD, Patna.

As a part of his research efforts, Dr. Sachin has published many papers in leading international and national journals. He regularly attends seminars and conferences to present these research papers.

You have held key positions at education institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

I am passionate about the field of education and its transformative power. Education is a fundamental driver of personal and societal growth. Being involved in the education sector allows me to contribute to the development of individuals, empowering them with knowledge, skills, and opportunities to reach their full potential. Staying connected to education ensures that I am continuously learning and growing. From advancements in pedagogy and curriculum development to incorporating new technologies in the classroom, being part of the education sector enables me to stay at the forefront of educational innovation and best practices. The intellectual stimulation that comes with exploring new ideas and approaches is both exciting and rewarding. 

How does the curriculum of the Global Institute of Management and Technology ensure the best practice of industry?

We are affiliated with the College of Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna and our course curriculum is fixed by the university. If you're affiliating college we do not have much freedom to change our curriculum because we have to actually teach the courses to the students. What we can do is tie-up with different industries for placements and internships. We have had several students placed with such tie-ups during the last couple of years. 

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the university and the students are?

The role of a Principal in a college is multi-faceted, and their responsibilities towards students are crucial in creating a conducive learning environment and ensuring the overall development and success of the student body. I need to provide leadership and oversee the overall administration of the college. I also collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and review the college's academic programs and curriculum.

I am also responsible for the welfare and well-being of students. Furthermore, I oversee and support various student support services, such as counseling, career guidance, and academic advising.

What would you like people to know about your college they may not know?

We aspire to impart technical education blended with cutting-edge technological tools appropriate to Industry needs globally. We also want to give practical insights and build confidence by exposing the students to in-plant training, projects, and internships. Our overall goal is to transform weak resolve, thought, and education into a value-based and dignified personality. The vision has evolved over time, and we are doing great things for the betterment of the college.

How does the college enhance the skill of the faculty and prepares them according to their industry?

The college prepares and organizes various faculty development programs. We bring in people from the industry to let the faculty know what new updates are coming up in the industry. We even have professionals coming to the college to take on some faculty development programs with the faculties of all departments. We regularly send all our faculty for industry visits to see the latest trends and movements.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

Most of our youth today do not read newspapers or textbooks. They're glued to their phones, using social media. Instead, I would advise them to browse apps that add value to them. For instance, if they are facing doubt in their classes, there are several tutorials on YouTube. Students need a lot of practice with pen and paper, which will eventually help in their careers and in increasing their knowledge. They should also develop a proper time schedule where they put in time for studies and hobbies.
