What are the factors that make this program the best for students to choose?

Our program is aligned with current industry trends and demands and can provide students with technical skills and knowledge that are in high demand. Due to the sudden rise in demand for law courses, colleges are trying to keep up by introducing several new programs that can accommodate the interests and requirements of all law aspirants. We are also offering learning opportunities, internships, and cooperative learning experiences. Students can enhance their analytical skills and become eligible for more job opportunities after completing our course.

What would you call a "best practice" in the course you are offering?

One of the best practices of our course is having clear learning objectives, such as clearly defining course rules and consequences. These are set out at the beginning of the program, and they ensure students are aware of what they need to achieve and what is expected of them. Our course is a professional degree, and students join it with the objective of joining the Bar and Bench. Having these clear goals has helped our students to clear various judicial service and other competitive exams all over the country.

What are some valuable inputs about the programs you are offering in your institute/department?

While legal principles are important, practical skill training is also important. Legal education has to meet not only the requirements of the Bar but also the new needs of trade, commerce, and industry. In the context of the growing internationalization of the profession’s opportunities, students need to develop skills such as legal precedent writing, oral advocacy, negotiation, client consultation, and legal drafting. Towards this end, our course has students taking part in moot court competitions, clinics, internships, and stimulating exercises that allow them to apply their knowledge in practical scenarios. We want to contribute to the better preparation of lawyers as they increasingly engage in transnational or global legal practice and pursue careers other than private practice, including governmental, non-governmental, academic, and corporate careers.

How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?

The program provides students with a strong foundation in conceptual concepts and principles of law. Our students are proficient in different areas of law, including civil law, criminal law, and constitutional law. Foundational knowledge of contracts, law, and treaties prepares our students to handle any type of case in the future.

How have you trained yourself/the faculty to deliver this program to the students?

Our faculty members are typically required to have advanced degrees in their respective fields. For example, in law school, professors must have a PhD degree. Advanced degrees ensure that faculty members have a deep understanding of their subject matter and can create a productive classroom environment to impart effective instructions on the course material.

What type of projects are students working on through this program?

We have established partnerships with different law firms, corporate legal departments, government agencies, and non-profit organizations that offer internship opportunities to students. To expand the learning opportunities of the students, our institute conducts seminars, educational trips, live projects, workshops, community projects, incubation projects, guest lectures, competitive events, and more. These practical experiences working with professionals help students apply their knowledge in the real world and build industry connections.

What are the benefits and career options after doing this course?

After doing this course, students can work in several career options, such as legal practice, judicial service, cooperative opposition, research, legal research in academia, and government services such as visa and prosecution of law offices and various political offices.
