Vivekananda Global University (VGU), one of the best colleges in Jaipur, made history in higher education and employment as the creator of the largest single-day job fair in the country, with over 1,700 positions available to interested candidates on 8th June. This game-changer event generated an opportunity for recruiters from regional, national, and international areas. This day filled an important milestone—the re-emergence of VGU as a recognized centre for talent and innovation. Recruiters from multinationals, start-ups, and industry representatives made it evident that the university was developing a solid foundation to connect education to industry.

The 2025 Jaipur Job Fair was a resounding success. It achieved its primary objective: connecting the academy to job creators. Over 130 firms from an array of sectors: IT, BFSI, manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare, consulting, e-commerce, and media came together to form an energising and collaborative platform for employment. The firms recruited approximately 1,700 full-time jobs and internship opportunities from a potential talent pool of over 5,000 candidates representing various universities and colleges from Rajasthan and neighbouring states. In addition to the number of candidates hired, the job fair also provided an opportunity for corporate engagement and employer branding led by, among others, Vivekananda Global University (one of the best private universities in Rajasthan), CTPL, and NextGen Academy, establishing Jaipur as a developing centre for mega employability events. Following the success of the job fair, a model for long-term sustainability for future regional and national job fairs has also emerged and sets a new model for the next wave of campus-to-career employability initiatives.

The NextGen Jaipur Job Fair 2025 had many specific purposes; however, each of these purposes was foreshadowed by the most recurrent and strongest purpose: to provide employment opportunities. The job fair´s fundamental purpose was to enhance placements for a very specific group, final-year students and graduates, by connecting students to industry partners and the best employers across many sectors. And, it intends to enhance the brand position and brand experience of partner institutions (CTPL, Vivekananda Global University, NextGen Academy, one of the top colleges in Rajasthan) among fellow institutions in industry and academia. The event is targeted to enhance industry and academy relations, which would produce productive employment outcomes through the successful identification of market requirements. To further enhance the recruitment process, relevant resources were accessed centrally, streamlined hiring of fresh graduates, provided a placement opportunity through the event, but that’s not all, provided a progressive collaborative community of students and employers which enabled professional development, career pathway guidance, appropriate networking opportunities, etc.

The Arrange Job Fair 2025 had the participation of more than 120 recruiters and may rank among the top employment fairs, in India, with lively participation.  White-collar recruiters included leading organisations like Capgemini, Reliance Industries Ltd. (also the owner of Jio),  Paytm, HDFC Bank (using NIIT and Manipal Academy), Tech Mahindra, Teleperformance, Genpact, AU Small Finance Bank, SBI Card, and Star Health Insurance.  Recruitment in E-commerce and retail included brands like Blinkit (formerly Zomato Ltd.), Lenskart, Livspace, and TATA Croma.  As far as other representatives for financial services were Bajaj Capital, Shriram Life Insurance, and JM Financial Services, which had sporadic representation. Other major participants representing a diversified value proposition and key fields like IT, fintech, education, health care, manufacturing, and agritech are GeeksforGeeks, YouVah Pvt. Ltd., Hackingly, Quess Corp Ltd. and 3i Infotech Pvt. Ltd.  The range of organizations that presented, and the sheer volume of participation speaks to Vivekananda Global University's commitment to talent opportunities and meaningful career journeys at scale.

The NextGen Jaipur Job Fair 2025 was an exhilarating, one-day, fully onsite event where candidates and recruiters interconnected in a constructed, energised environment. The face-to-face nature allowed candidates and employers to interact freely, speak regardless of time, have interviews, and make offers on the spot, creating an interconnected, real-time and authentic recruitment experience. The fair took thoughtful and intentional steps to be a fun, inclusive, and meaningful event, regarding its base mission to connect prospective professionals to established employers. On that day, the fair gave students immediate career pursuits and gave companies access to a pipeline of talent.

The tagline for the fair - "Get Hired Where Opportunity Meets Talent — VGU NextGen Jaipur Job Fair 2025" glossed over the celebratory nature of the event and the notion of convergence and collaboration, opportunity and innovation, and help in ways we haven't seen before. In short, it transitioned the job fair to another place that also creates a new vision in the future of employability and has captured the pulse on Jaipur as a viable spot for talent and industry collaboration.

It was an amazing milestone in talent engagement that established a new global benchmark for high-volume hiring events and created a template for similar events in the future. As Jaipur continues to develop as an innovative city in the employment space, it is fair to say that VGU is in a strong position to take a leading role in forming India's future workforce.
