Dr. Mayur Singi is the Head of Academics at Patel Group of Institutions, Indore. With a B.E. in Civil Engineering from MGIEM and an M.E. in Transportation Engineering from SGSITS, he also holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from SRKU. He has 12 plus years of extensive experience in teaching, academic administration and industry. Before he took up his role at PGOI, he worked at BMCT, SGSITS, Acropolis Technical Campus, Swami Vivekanand College of Engineering, KDS Construction Company and Kabra Construction in different roles.
Dr. Singi has published over 50 papers in his research area of interest in reputed journals and has attended several conferences, workshops and seminars. For his efforts, he was awarded a Certificate of Honour from Sister Nivedita Takniki Shiskha Samiti and the Madhya Pradesh Council for Science and Technology for the outstanding performance of students in subjects taught (University Topper).

What keeps you connected with the education sector and how has your experience been so far with this institute?
I've dedicated nearly 12 plus years to the education sector, primarily in teaching roles. The opportunity to introduce students to emerging technologies and cultivate their research capabilities has been a source of inspiration for me as an educator. As for my recent tenure at this institute, spanning three months, Due to the institution's affordable fee structure, I've seen a vibrant and diverse student body flourishing. The institute priorities imparting knowledge of advanced technologies, fostering heightened awareness among its students.
What are your roles and responsibilities in this institute?
Currently, I serve as the Head of Academics and oversee the MBA program. Therefore, I am responsible for managing the academic aspects of the entire college. Additionally, I conduct various seminars, workshops and training programs aimed at enhancing student development.
How does the curriculum of your institute ensure best practices?
The main curriculum for our courses is set by the universities. However, in our college, we augment this curriculum with extracurricular activities such as additional classes, workshops, and training sessions. This approach ensures that students gain comprehensive knowledge of their chosen field and job profiles. As an affiliated institution, we adhere to the university's framework while supplementing it with these additional opportunities for student enrichment.

What is the role of a good leader, according to you?
According to me, the role of a good leader is paramount. A good leader plays a significant role in guiding the team towards progress. It involves identifying and addressing weaknesses while bolstering strengths, thereby enabling the team to advance cohesively and effectively.
