What is the latest program that you are offering in your institute/dept. which will help students outperform and stand apart from the crowd?
We have recently come up with the M.Ed course which will ultimately help in training the future teachers of Jharkhand. In a place where there is a lack of teachers, where the seats for the employment gets half filled, we are trying to make the future teachers ready by making them understand what are the key challenges that a teacher may face in the changing technology-based environment or tech-enabled education systems.
What are the best practices in the course you’re offering?
We provide practical exposure of the challenges that a teacher might face in the real classroom to the students who are going to be future teachers. We are having a classroom simulation at our campus where we are working with them on how to use smart boards which are replacing blackboards. We are giving them as best practical experience as we can by enabling them with modern facilities and environment during the tenure and simultaneously making them conceptual ready by working on the theory classes.
What are some valuable insights of the program that you are offering at your institute/dept.?
We at AL Iqra Teachers Training College are basically providing three basic courses namely Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Masters of Education (M.Ed.). All these courses are of two-year duration where a future aspirant teacher goes with the concepts and understands what are the things that are to be learnt conceptually and at the same time they learn how to apply those learnt concepts to its utmost best.
How did you train yourself/faculty to deliver this program to the students?
