How does your institution help students with placement and networking opportunities?
Training and Placement Cell at our institution plays a pivotal role in assisting students to cultivate strong professional relationships and networks with corporate experts. We consistently guide students on utilizing platforms like LinkedIn and encourage their active participation in various events such as conferences, hackathons, and technical fests. These engagements not only expose students to practical scenarios but also provide them with ample networking opportunities, enhancing their prospects for internships and placements.
How can one improve their interview skills, and what qualities do employers look for in students nowadays?
I recommend students participate in mock interviews regularly to boost confidence and focus on areas needing improvement. In the current scenario, employers in technical fields seek strong fundamentals. On the other hand, roles in marketing and sales look for exceptional communication skills and a high level of commitment to the offered roles. Regular mock interviews not only refine interview techniques but also help in showcasing the desired qualities employers seek in different domains.

What challenges did you face to uplift the quality of placement on campus?
The geographical location of our campus, situated in a rural area, presented obstacles in attracting companies for placements. To address this, we maximized our efforts to involve students in industry-related activities and initiatives. Additionally, with the shift to virtual platforms following the post-COVID scenario, we successfully tapped into virtual recruitment opportunities. This adaptation allowed us to offer students access to a broader range of companies and placement opportunities, thereby improving the quality of placement on campus.
What is your vision for the campus?
My vision for the campus is to create an environment of academic excellence and encourage research and entrepreneurial spirit among all students. By fostering an atmosphere that encourages curiosity, innovation, and dedication, our goal is to prepare students to meet the challenges of a global landscape with high ethical and moral standards. We aim to develop an ecosystem that not only supports academic rigor but also nurtures an entrepreneurial mindset, providing the tools and encouragement for students to think critically, solve problems, and contribute meaningfully to the society and world.
How did the institute prepare students for the industry?
The institute focuses on honing students' practical skills and industry readiness through various initiatives. Events such as annual festivals, debate competitions, and seminars conducted by industry experts play a pivotal role in acquainting students with real-world scenarios, industry insights, and networking opportunities. These platforms not only provide exposure but also contribute to the development of soft skills, critical thinking, and professional networking. Through these engagements, students gain valuable experiences and knowledge, enhancing their prospects for successful placements and a seamless transition into the professional landscape.
