Being part of management, what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?
I would describe my leadership style as straightforward and leading by example. I enjoy delegating tasks and taking the lead on projects, but I also like to stay involved and inspire my team by demonstrating that I'm working hands-on to support them as well.
According to you, what makes the education industry the best industry to work in?
According to me, when a society is educated, production rises, average income rises, and unemployment falls. This contributes to overall economic progress and stability in society, it all begins with education. Some of the benefits of working in this industry include the opportunity to assist others. Education is critical to the development of future generations. Whether you work hands-on or not, it might be a rewarding industry.
Being an integral member of the Institute, how your work impacts the growth of the institute?
As a teacher of Electrical Engineering, integrated curricula allow students to have a deeper understanding of the subject matter. They learn how to apply the knowledge that they have gained in the classroom in a real-world situation. This ultimately helps prepare them for their future studies, careers, and lives in general. Therefore, overall, give back the benefits of the growth of the whole society and this institute’s progress
How do you introduce practical and industry-oriented approaches towards subjects?
We do several things to ensure the industry's focus. In addition to staying current with trends and technology, and incorporating them into regular lectures. We invite industry experts to conduct workshops with our students and teaching staff. This provides us with new ideas, motivation, and insight into current practices that teachers may use in the classroom. Furthermore, during the course, students collaborate with a variety of firms on a variety of initiatives. Some are genuine clients, which require students to act as project managers as well as developers and designers. Other projects involve agencies from whom students might obtain professional evaluations.
How do you prepare students to face the challenges of modern organizations and global standards successfully?
We prepare students to face the challenges of modern organisations and global standards. According to us, globally competent students must be able to address real-world issues and use their academic knowledge in real-world circumstances. Problem-Based Learning is an excellent method for accomplishing this since it challenges students to perform independent research on specific problems, combine a variety of views, and design a solution. This will help pupils build critical-thinking abilities rather than relying just on textbook solutions. As a result, they will have a better and more profound comprehension of the topics and improved communication abilities. In my view, students have to develop some skills that help them enhance their management abilities, such as interpersonal skills, communication and motivation, organisation and delegation, and forward planning and strategic thinking.
How do you plan on using the immense knowledge and experience you have gained over the decades being an integral member of the institute?
In my opinion, education enables children to acquire knowledge and skills that will help them become successful members of society, and grow into good and accomplished individuals. In order to materialise this idea, it is necessary to build good relationships between students, teachers, and parents. In this institute, we always prefer to develop the ability of the students to become responsible citizens of the nation with technical, and intellectual knowledge to enjoy societal issues.
What kind of placement and higher studies opportunities your institute provides?
Placements and Internship opportunities are provided to the students through our centralised Training and Placement Cell at the institute. Although I am not a member of the cell, I have seen that in all sectors, companies are coming for placement. After completing their technical degrees, students have many opportunities for higher education in their respective areas as well as in other fields.
When you look back on your time in the educational industry, what’s the significant difference?
The education industry is big and diverse, and it plays an important role in society all over the world. We can take a deeper look at education to understand the current employment market, your abilities, and how to get your career started. It's in our nature to exchange and spread knowledge. From prehistoric petroglyphs to the first cuneiform writing, humans have sought to preserve and communicate data about their surroundings. In comparison, the formal education systems are far more recent, and the education sector is currently nearly contemporary. However, it is one of the largest in the world and is vital to many nations.
