KIPM Gorakhpur

You have held key positions at various education institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

Education, in my perspective, constitutes a multifaceted domain demanding extensive engagement in critical thinking and adept problem-solving. Individuals who derive satisfaction from overcoming these challenges may discover that a career in education not only captivates their interest but also serves as a constant source of motivation.

Being the Dean of Institute, what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

I embrace a leadership approach rooted in servant leadership, prioritising the needs of others and serving them to facilitate their full potential. This philosophy stands in contrast to the prevalent transformational leadership model, which centers on inspiring and motivating faculty to attain their utmost capabilities. Typically, this is achieved through fostering a shared vision or pursuing a common goal, such as enhancing the admissions process for improved outcomes.

How does the curriculum of your institute ensure the best practice of industry?

KIPM’s curriculum seamlessly integrates academic theory with real-world industry practices. Employing a diverse range of pedagogical tools, such as business simulations, real-time case studies, and live projects, we ensure that our students are thoroughly prepared to transition into roles as adept industry managers and leaders. Setting us apart, we take pride in being one of the few institutes in the Gorakhpur region dedicated to delivering high-quality education, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application for our students' professional success.

Any insights into how your Institute could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

Our mission is to be dedicated to advancing student achievement and preparing individuals for global competitiveness through the cultivation of educational excellence and the promotion of equal access. The college administration actively encourages institutions not only to attract and admit students from diverse backgrounds but also to provide robust support for their academic journey. Additionally, we are committed to facilitating access to education by offering scholarships to those in need and striving to create an inclusive and equitable learning environment for all students.

What do you think should be the Institute’s top priority over the next 10 years?

We want to provide education and opportunities to all the students and make sure that they get all the facilities in Gorakhpur. We want to prepare them to be competent enough so that they can compete with students for the best universities without moving out of the city for the sake of quality education. Also, we want to make sure that we build a brand name in the entire state and not just this city of ours.

What would you like people to know about your Institute they may not know?

We at KIPM provide a conducive environment that enables the students not only to upgrade their academic skills and proficiencies but also to fully realise their potential. Our students receive all the help and training they need to work as contributing citizens of the nation. Also here, we provide extra scholarships to the students as per their capabilities.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relationship and environment in your institute?

I tend to establish healthy relationships through communication. It is always a good idea to set aside some time just to talk about the way things are going with students and faculty members. When people don’t have a chance to talk about important issues, misunderstandings can occur, and resentment builds up. This will hamper the work environment and prevent people from giving their best.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

My advice to students is to stay disciplined and focused on their goals. Discipline helps individuals establish routines, prioritise tasks, and stay focused on their goals. This can lead to increased productivity and efficiency in the workplace. When individuals are disciplined in their approach to work, they develop a sense of control and mastery over their tasks. This can lead to increased self-confidence and a sense of accomplishment.
