Mr. Preetish Kshirsagar is the Head of the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department at Astral Institute of Technology and Research. He holds an M.Tech in Embedded Systems and VLSI design. He has over 16 years of experience working in this field.

What are your roles and responsibilities in this institution? 

Our responsibility lies in providing the child with the utmost support, ensuring they receive what they need to grow. Without this support, the child's further development is hindered. Achievements come when the child comprehends and applies the knowledge we impart. Witnessing the child learn and implement this knowledge constitutes our greatest achievement.

What are the extracurricular activities organized in your institute for students? 

For students, we organize various skill-enhancing activities. We offer both indoor and outdoor games such as Javelinthrow, long jump, and high jump in athletics. Students actively participate in these activities. Our annual sports week is scheduled for the last week of February.

How does the curriculum of your institute ensure the best practices?

Our curriculum benefits children by enabling them to learn new things and apply them for the future. We organize industrial visits, webinars, and invite professionals from various industries to collaborate with us. Recently, we established a partnership with Infosys and initiated a springboard program for the students. In this program, students actively engage and delve into the details of the subject matter. Infosys has informed us that if a student successfully completes the activities or the springboard program, Infosys recruiters will consider them for employment opportunities.

What do you want people to know about your institute they may not know?

The environment is highly user-friendly in our college. While other colleges may have a lot of rigidity, we maintain a balance where students do not feel frustrated. Our college promotes a free environment where students feel liberated and comfortable. We encourage students to share their problems freely, and we provide solutions accordingly.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the youth and aspiring students?

My suggestion to the youth is that whatever work you undertake, do it diligently and with passion. Success will naturally follow when you approach your tasks wholeheartedly. Instead of chasing success, focus on giving your best effort, and success will come to you. They need to believe in themselves and support their endeavors, enabling them to implement their knowledge effectively.
