Assam UG Round 1 Merit List 2026 Out at assamadmission.samarth.ac.in; Round 1 Admission Closes Today

The Department of Higher Education (DHE), Government of Assam has released the Undergraduate (UG) Round 1 Merit List 2026 on the Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal at assamadmission.samarth.ac.in. The first merit list was published on June 2, 2026 for Non-CUET candidates. Round 1 seat acceptance closes today, June 6, 2026.

Allotted candidates have received an admission offer link on their registered email and mobile number. They must log in to the Samarth portal and accept the offer to confirm their Round 1 admission. Candidates who do not accept the offer today will lose the allotted seat for this round.

The portal handles UG admissions for all state universities and government colleges under the DHE, Assam. It covers Four Year Undergraduate Programmes (FYUGP) and Four Year Integrated Master Programmes (FYIMP) for the 2026-27 academic session.

How to Check the Assam UG Round 1 Merit List 2026?

Candidates can view their merit status on the portal even without logging in. The merit list section lists all participating universities and their affiliated colleges.

• Visit the official portal at assamadmission.samarth.ac.in/index.php/site/merit-list.
• Click on the Merit List tab on the homepage.
• Select Merit List 1 from the drop-down menu.
• Choose the autonomous college or university name.
• Pick the specific college under that university.
• Select the programme to view the allotment list.

How to Accept the Round 1 Seat Allotment Today?

Candidates who find their name on the Round 1 merit list must complete the acceptance step before the window closes. The process is fully online through the Samarth portal.

• Open the URL link sent to the registered email or mobile number.
• Log in to the Samarth portal using application credentials.
• View the seat allotment offer on the dashboard.
• Click on the Accept Offer option to confirm the seat.
• Complete any document verification step shown on the screen.
• Save and download the confirmation slip for college reporting.

Who Should Wait for the Next Merit List?

Candidates not allotted a seat in Round 1 do not need to register again. Their application moves automatically to the next round on the portal. The second merit list will be published on June 9, 2026 on the same portal.
