NTRUHS has opened Free Exit Facility for Phase 1 and Phase 2 candidates for AP NEET Counseling 2024. The free exit portal will be open till January 6, 2025, 3 PM.
The Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, has announced the implementation of a Free Exit facility for candidates who joined seats in Phase-1 and Phase-2 counselling for postgraduate medical courses under the Competent Authority Quota (CQ) and Management Quota (MQ) for the academic year 2024-25. The free exit portal will be open till January 6, 2025, 3 PM.
Free Exit Timelines
- Start Date: January 3, 2025, 10:00 AM
- End Date: January 6, 2025, 03:00 PM
Steps to Avail the Free Exit Option
- Resignation at Allotted College:
- Candidates must visit their allotted college and submit a resignation request along with an undertaking (format annexed in the official notification).
- Responsibilities of College Principals:
- Ensure that all resignations are recorded in the college login system.
- Update data by 4:00 PM on January 6, 2025, and send a signed copy of the reported/resigned candidates list and the student undertakings to the email: appgadmissions2021@gmail.com.
- Return of Original Documents:
- Colleges must return original certificates and refund the tuition and other fees to the candidates resigning from their seats.
- Completion of Process:
- Any failure in completing the process will render the resignation invalid.
Important Guidelines for Candidates
- Utilization of Free Exit Option:
- The Free Exit facility must be exercised strictly within the specified timeline.
- Vacated Seat Allocation:
- Once a seat is vacated, it cannot be reclaimed by the candidate and will be made available for Phase-III counselling.
- Eligibility for Phase-III Counselling:
- Candidates who resign under the Free Exit facility will be eligible to participate in Phase-III counselling as per the rules.
- Candidates Holding CQ Seats:
- Those currently holding a CQ seat and wishing to participate in MQ Phase-III must resign their CQ seat before Phase-III CQ counselling begins.
- Rules for Phase-III:
- Candidates allotted or upgraded to a CQ seat in Phase-III will be ineligible for MQ Phase-III counselling, irrespective of their reporting status.
Restrictions and Penalties
- No Extensions: No request to extension of the deadline for Free Exit will be entertained.
- Multiple State Quota or Counselling Attendance: Multiple reporting at multiple state quotas or counselling sessions is strictly not allowed. Any candidate found doing this shall face severe penalties and also gets disqualified from pursing further studies.
- Discontinuation Fee:Those candidates who do not resign within the windows of Free Exit but discontinue the course shall have to pay the discontinuation fee of ₹3 lakh + 18% GST.
The University has announced the Free Exit facility to be extended, if the applicable rules and timelines are satisfied for AIQ Round 3 allottees.Eligible candidates should carefully go through the process and time frame so as to avoid penalty and to get themselves eligible for subsequent counselling rounds.
