The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has announced the schedule for the Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test (AP EDCET) 2026. This state-level entrance exam is the gateway for students seeking admission into B.Ed. (Regular) and B.Ed. Special Education courses across the state for the academic year 2026-27.
Eligible candidates are advised to prepare their documents and complete the application process through the official website: cets.apsche.ap.gov.in.
UG Courses Offered
The entrance test is conducted for admission into:
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) - Regular 2-year course.
- B.Ed. Special Education (H.I., V.I., and I.D.).
Candidates must pay the registration fee online via Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking. AP EDCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for AP EDCET 2026, candidates must meet the following:
- Nationality: Must be an Indian Citizen.
- Domicile: Must satisfy local/non-local status requirements of Andhra Pradesh.
- Age: Must have completed 19 years of age as of July 1, 2026. (No upper age limit).
- Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./BCA/BBM/B.Tech).
- Minimum Marks: 50% aggregate for General, 45% for BC, and 40% for SC/ST/PH categories.
- For B.E./B. Tech graduates, a minimum of 55% marks is required.
AP EDCET 2026 Selection Process
- Entrance Exam: Candidates must appear for the AP EDCET 2026, which is an objective-type (CBT) exam with 150 questions.
- Qualifying Marks: General candidates must score at least 25% (37 out of 150). There is no minimum qualifying mark for SC/ST candidates.
- Counselling: Based on the rank obtained, candidates will be called for web-based counselling for seat allotment in various government and private colleges.
AP EDCET 2026 Required Documents List
- Hall Ticket Number of the qualifying degree.
- SSC (10th) Certificate for Date of Birth proof.
- Study Certificates from Class 6 to Degree.
- Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/BC).
- Income Certificate (issued by MRO/Competent Authority).
- Aadhaar Card details.
- Scanned Passport Size Photo (less than 50kb).
- Scanned Signature (less than 30kb).
AP EDCET 2026-How to Apply?
- Fee Payment: Visit the official website and click on 'Step 1: Fee Payment'.
- Check Status: Verify the payment success using 'Step 2: Know Your Payment Status'.
- Fill Application: Use the Payment ID to access 'Step 3: Fill Application' and enter all personal and academic details.
- Upload Documents: Upload the scanned photo and signature as per specifications.
- Submit & Print: Review all details, click Submit, and download the printout for future reference.
