NTRUHS has released Instruction Guidelines for all rounds of counselling for NEET PG 2024. The counseling will be conducted as per NMC/DGHS guidelines. Students can checkout the official website for further updates.

The Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Andhra Pradesh, has announced the detailed procedure for NEET PG Counselling 2024-25 for admissions into postgraduate (medical) degree and diploma courses under the Management Quota (MQ). The counselling process, divided into multiple phases—Phase-I, Phase-II, Phase-III (Mop-Up), and Stray Vacancy Round will be conducted as per NMC/DGHS guidelines. It is subject to changes as per DGHS/NMC norms and University guidelines.

Phase-I Counselling

  1. Seat Matrix:

    The seat matrix will be available on the website prior to the start of web options.

  2. Ineligible Candidates:
    • Those who attended 2023-24 Stray/Special Stray rounds for CQ/MQ counselling and did not join the seat allotted.
    • Those who dropped the course in 2021-22 or later are not eligible for counselling this year.
  3. Web Options:
    • Candidates can make as many options as they want for courses and colleges.
    • Only such options should be chosen for which candidates are keen to join.
  4. Provisional Allotment:
    • After seat allotment, the provisional order can be downloaded on payment of a non-refundable University Fee of ₹49,600/-.
  5. Reporting and Verification:
    • The candidate is required to report to the allotted college, produce original documents, pay tuition fees, and do admission formalities.
    • In case of any discrepancy during verification, the allotment shall stand canceled.
  6. Non-Joining Policy:
    • Candidates who do not report or join the Phase-I seat will forfeit the eligibility for that seat in the following phases.
  7. Upgradation:
    • Phase-I upgradation can be done to Phase-II and Phase-III (Mop-Up) seats.

Phase-II Counselling

  1. Eligibility:
    • Candidates not allotted seats in Phase-I.
    • Candidates allotted seats in Phase-I but failed to join.
    • Candidates who joined their Phase-I seats are eligible for upgradation.
  2. Procedure:
    • Web options remain the same as Phase-I.
    • Vacancies from Phase-I (non-joined or free exit) will be filled in this round.
  3. Key Notes:
    • Candidates upgrading from Phase-I to Phase-II will forfeit their earlier seats.
    • Default sliding will apply if web options are exercised.

Phase-III Counselling (Mop-Up Round)

  1. Eligibility:
    • Candidates not allotted seats in Phase-I and Phase-II.
    • Candidates who reported to Phase-I/Phase-II seats but want to upgrade.
    • Candidates who failed to join their allotted seats in previous phases cannot opt for the same seat.
  2. Key Restrictions:
    • Candidates allotted seats in Phase-III cannot participate in further rounds of State Counselling.
    • Vacated seats from previous rounds are filled based on merit and rules.
  3. Default Options:
    • Seats allotted in previous phases remain the last preference unless upgraded.

Stray Vacancy Counselling

  1. Eligibility:
    • Candidates not holding any seat in Phase-I, II, or III.
    • Candidates not allotted seats in All India Quota (AIQ) rounds.
  2. Ineligibility:
    • Candidates holding seats in any round of State or AIQ counselling.
    • Candidates who fail to join their Stray Vacancy seats will be debarred from counselling for the next academic year.
  3. Procedure:
    • Fresh registrations and choice filling are conducted for this round.

Important Notes for Counselling

  • University Fee: ₹49,600/- (non-refundable).
  • Tuition Fee: Paid at the time of admission at the allotted college.
  • Dual Reporting: Not permitted. Candidates must choose between CQ or MQ seats.
  • Free Exit: Allowed during Phase-I and Phase-II, subject to schedule notifications.
