The AMU National Workshop was attended by Prof. Aasim Zafar, Chairman of the Department of Computer Science, and Prof. Margam Madhusudhan, Department of Library and Information Science at the University of Delhi.

New Delhi: As per the latest updates, the Maulana Azad Library of Aligarh Muslim University has successfully organised a week-long National Workshop on “Koha (Integrated Library Management System)”. The workshop included sessions on how to install, customize and streamline various housekeeping operations of libraries with free and open-source software.
The workshop organised by AMU offered attendees hands-on training as well as a series of lectures and demonstrations on how to use the Koha software in detail. Koha is a scalable library management system sponsored by organisations from all around the world.

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. S. Mustafa K.Q. Zaidi, Former Chairman of the Department of Library and Information Science at Aligarh Muslim University, highlighted the importance of open-source library management systems, particularly Koha, in the ever-changing world.
He further added that in the Google era, library professionals must continue to organise knowledge and transform library goods and services so that the correct information is provided to the right user at the right time.
The AMU National Workshop on Koha was attended by Prof. Aasim Zafar, Chairman of the Department of Computer Science, and Prof. Margam Madhusudhan, Department of Library and Information Science at the University of Delhi as well as staff and faculty members of AMU.
