38 IIT Gandhinagar PhD Students and Research Fellows Awarded Certification in Scientific Writing; Check Details Here

New Delhi: 38 PhD candidates and research fellows from IIT Gandhinagar recently received their Certification in Scientific Writing after successfully completing the training. As per IIT Gandhinagar, the course promotes skill development while benchmarking students' and trainees' abilities in scientific writing.

The certification programme for scientific writing assesses scientific writing abilities and knowledge. A professional certificate is awarded to a participant who successfully passes the test. Dr. Maria Joo Amante, the programme advisor, Prof. Karla Mercado-Shekhar, the coordinator, and Prof. Nihar Mohapatra, the co-coordinator, are in charge of running this project.

The awarded candidates were congratulated on their accomplishment by Prof. Nithin George, Dean of Academics, and Prof. Rajat Moona, Director of IITGN. The certification in scientific writing promotes the skill development of IIT Gandhinagar's students and trainees, enables students to use scientific writing competencies during their life-long learning process, facilitates the emergence of tutors in scientific writing, and serves as a benchmark for evaluating students' abilities and knowledge in scientific writing.

Students chosen for Olympiad training camps now have the chance to apply straight to the BTech and BTech-MTech programmes at IIT Gandhinagar for the academic year 2023–2024. The last day to submit an application for the training camps was May 15, 2023.

This 5-week foundational approach encourages active and project-based learning both inside and outside of the classroom as a means of fostering holistic growth. To be eligible to apply, the applicant must either be scheduled to graduate from Class XII in 2023 or have already done so in 2022.
