How to Apply to TU Delft as an Indian Student?

Here’s how Indian students can apply to TU Delft using Studielink:

Step 1: Check eligibility:

• Confirm your academic qualification is accepted (Class 12 for BSc, a Bachelor’s degree for MSc).
• Check subject requirements (especially Maths & Physics for engineering).
• For MSc, confirm your degree is closely related to the chosen program.
• Check if the BSc is Numerus Clausus (limited seats + selection).

Step 2: Register on Studielink:

• Create an account on Studielink (mandatory for all applicants).
• Select TU Delft and your BSc or MSc program.

Step 3: Activate NetID:

• After registering on Studielink, you will receive an email with your TU Delft NetID, email address, and an invitation for Osiaan (TU Delft’s online portal)

Step 4: Complete TU Delft application:

• Answer the questions and upload the required documents in Osiaan
• Pay the application fee of 100 EUR and submit your application

Step 5: Selection (for Numerus Clausus BSc only):

• Complete online tests, assignments, and matching activities
• Receive a ranking number
• Admission depends on your ranking and available seats

Step 6: Admission decision:

• TU Delft issues a conditional or final offer after academic review

Step 7: Accept offer & arrange visa/fees:

• Accept the offer in Studielink
• Pay tuition and required advance payments
• You are officially registered at TU Delft as soon as your status in Studielink says 'enrolled.'
• After enrollment, download proof of enrollment via MyTUDelft
• TU Delft applies for your MVV/student residence permit (for Indian students)
• Apply for housing, if required (limited availability)

Delft University of Technology Admission Decision

At TU Delft, the admission decision timeline varies depending on the chosen program.

• BSc applicants will receive an application update within 8 weeks after their application is marked complete. Do not contact TU Delft during this period.
• MSc applicants will receive a decision within 12 weeks after their application is complete.
• MSc selection program applicants (as mentioned below) go through a competitive selection process, with decisions released by the end of March:
  • Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences, Computer Science, Computer & Embedded Systems Engineering, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Technology, Design for Interaction, Electrical Engineering, Integrated Product Design, Management of Technology, and Strategic Product Design.
• Capacity-limited MSc programs admit students until seats are filled. Once full, no more offers are made.

TU Delft does not publish any official data on acceptance rate. Some websites cite that the acceptance rate is around 82%. That means admission to TU Delft is lightly competitive, providing a fair chance to eligible Indian students. It is advised that you should apply well in advance and ensure all required documents are submitted before the deadline for timely evaluation.
