- The Scientific Computing master’s program is a strongly application-oriented program focused on current topics and problems. The program is also very much research-focused as students are closely involved in teachers’ research projects. The curriculum also includes application-oriented content from non-mathematical disciplines.
- Students learn how to design holistic solutions for scientific and technical tasks in engineering and natural science applications - from mathematical modeling, analysis of mathematical models, and the development of numeric processes through to the implementation of the processes as software.
- They also acquire extensive technical knowledge in the field of scientific computing, applied mathematics, and a focus of their choosing. Students may choose, for instance, to focus on numerical mathematics, financial mathematics, or stochastic models.
