- Some really talented and inspiring teachers.
- Teacher presentations were creative. Very big classrooms.
Dislikes
- Very high fees compared to the quality of education.
- Grading and exam system was pretty bizarre.
- Not a lot of opportunities to mix up with local students.
Colleges Where I Was Accepted
Reason for choosing my college
I was accepted to this college before. Honestly, in hindsight, I should’ve waited and done more research. Sometimes the eligibility criteria of certain colleges are very high. So I preferred colleges that did not demand too much experience.
Colleges Where I Was Rejected
Reason for Rejection
- My phone interview did not go well. They asked me about my future goals, which I couldn’t articulate.
- I couldn’t impress the admissions committee. Also, they tend to favour candidates who are good presenters. and frankly, I was too nervous/shy.

Tips to enhance your application
- Add as many achievements as possible to your CV.
- Of course the skills you add should be relevant to the programme you are applying to.
- But some extracurricular activities can also help. Be well prepared for the interview.
Admission Experience
- My school has triple accreditation with a decent ranking of business schools in Europe.
- Finance and accounting programmes are especially better in this school.
- Placement record isn’t bad either.
- Extracurricular activities weren’t too impressive, honestly. Student life was pretty decent, although networking was hard.
Class Schedule
- Class timing was from 9am to 4pm generally.
- The strength of the class must’ve been 50 students. Usually 4-5 Indians were there in each programme.
- I would say a lot of time will go into your assignments and self-study.
- As what you study in class can be forgotten easily. It’s best to revise quickly. And participate in group assignments. 4-5 classes per day if my memory serves me right.
Faculty
- Most of the faculty was friendly and had good knowledge about their field.
- The best faculties were accounting professors. They were very knowledgeable and eager to share their experiences with us. They also gave us practical ideas about real corporate experience.
- While faculties didn’t help directly with the job references, networking with them will definitely help you in your career.
Campus Life
- There were a lot of cultural/technology fests. Sports activity could also be seen on the campus.
- The library had a very big and excellent academic collection. But borrowing time was very less due to popular demand. Wish there was more easy and fair access to books.
- We only had one campus and not a big one, to be fair.
Part Time Jobs
- Indian students get paid just as much as French counterparts. Provided they can land a job.
- A part-time job wouldn’t be too difficult to find. But it will be very hard to manage with your studies.
- Students can find a job with a local restaurant, newspaper, or marketing agency. The usual process would be to contact them by phone/email or pay a visit.
- Maximum hours per week are 35, mandated by French law. Hourly wages differ but I think it’s generally €7 per hour.
- Finding internships is not the easiest of feats considering you’ll have to compete with local French students. But it’s likely you’ll find it, luckily, even in your city. (Although with a lot of search)
Placement
- A very high percentage of the batch will secure a job within 6 months.
- The average salary range might be €1000-2000 depending on the job role and location.
- Students typically find jobs through LinkedIn or sometimes through college websites.
- The highest and lowest salaries are hard to mention because they vary wildly between corporations.
Accommodation
- College will help you apply at CROUS, which is the government hostel.
- The rooms are pretty small (9m2) but nevertheless, it’s decent given the low cost, especially with the help of CAF (caisse d’aide familiale).
- There are other sites online like Studapart and Agence d’immobilier but please be careful because local landlords are leeches who only see you as a source of income and will do anything to deny your deposit at the end.
