Course Curriculum

10

  • It is more theoretical and practical, more like a mix.
  • The difficulty of the course is not too high or not too low.
  • With some good efforts you can get through the course.
  • Positive aspect is that you get to learn so much about business with some real-time experiences.
  • Negative aspect would be there are few courses where lecturers would be coming from outside france so the whole day it would be the same person completing one whole module.
  • Daily 5-6 classes timing would be 9 to 5. Average number of students is 20. 25 to 30 percent of the students are indians

Admission Experience

  • I have only applied to rennes school of business and Paris school of business and i got admissions to both the colleges but i chose rennes school of business because of the low cost of living in rennes and the low college fee and also rennes school of business had the syllabus that I preferred over the other college.
  • Before this i applied to colleges in the usa as well and got admission in UNT but i chose rennes school of business.
  • No gre or toefel required so i chose this college.
  • Had to go through an interview for the admission. Had to learn a1 french least to go to france as they do not speak english.
  • The application process was quite simple and fast.
  • The visa application and process is like a cakewalk; there's no need to worry like the usa visa as all we have to do is submit valid documents like application, bank statement, etc.
  • I have gone to the college for the January intake, as I finished my bachelor's in the month of june and I needed some time to decide what to do next.
  • The admission process typically takes about 2 months.
  • You send your application with all the educational documents and once they check it, they reply, typically in about 1-2 weeks and let us know what their initial decision is.
  • They support you with documents required for a visa as well.

Faculty

10

  • 1 to 20 would be the ratio; teachers take care of every student in a very good way.
  • The teaching methodology is excellent; they use the latest technology to make you understand things in a better way.
  • Yes, it is sufficient to secure a job, as they cover all the aspects of the course.
  • There are hardly any part-time jobs.
  • Full-time jobs yes few lecturers will help if they have anyone in their network.
  • The French lecturer had the best friendly teaching way and was super funny.

Campus Life

8

  • There is only one campus.
  • Many facilities are available like a gym, foosball, library, PlayStation, medical room, and idea room for any business idea discussion.
  • There are not many campus festivals in the college.
  • Only 1-2 festivals around the year and nothing special.
  • There are few student organizations for business ideas and few organizations for research and development.

Part Time Jobs

  • There are very few ta and ra positions which are very difficult to get and mostly french people get it as the lecturers prefer french so that they can communicate easily.
  • There are no on-campus jobs for students.
  • You can find few outside at 10 euros an hour pay.
  • TAs and RAs are paid about 15-20 euros an hour.
  • Maximum working hours allowed is 20 hours.
  • Almost impossible to get a campus part-time job, as they need you to speak french even if you find one, the pay would be very low, like 10 euros an hour. There is nothing like a process or anything to get a part-time job; you just have to be lucky to find one, as the people only take french people for part-time, and as indians don't speak french they do not prefer indians for part-time.

Placement

6

  • Jobs are difficult to get, as the companies require you to speak french and if you speak french you can get a job easily.
  • About 10% of the people from our batch got a job within 6 months of graduation.
  • To get a job, the most commonly used platform is linkedin
  • The batchmates that got a job in our batch got 60-70k euro packages.
  • They got a job as an analyst at N26 and amazon. Almost every company hires graduates from our program.
  • It's just that you should speak french really well.

Accommodation

Off Campus
10

  • There is a platform called studapart which helps with accommodation and it's the best platform to find apartments.
  • 350 was the rent; facilities included were an oven, washing machine, electricity, water, fridge, dishwasher and stove.
  • Use Studapart for finding apartments.
  • My accommodation was 2 km from college. Most indians stay near university of rennes 2.

Exams

  • Gre or TOEFL—both are not required for admission into the college.
  • Sop, lor, cv, academic transcripts, the original degree, and provisional certification are required.
  • There was a basic interview at Alliance Française in which they just asked you simple questions like what is your course and why france and all but no matter what we answer, we will get through the interview, as france is welcoming international students.

Fees

  • My college fees were 20000 euros, which is approximately 18 lakhs.
  • The fee is charged semester-wise.
  • The monthly expenses would be around 500-600 based on how you compromise.
  • Rent is around 300, transportation is about 40 and around 200 would be for food and groceries.
  • There were people who would spend no more than 400 euros a month as well, and they wouldn't go out or anything.
  • It all comes down to the way we adjust.

Scholarship

  • No, I have not received any scholarship but my batchmates did receive scholarships.
  • One of my batch mates received a 2000 euros scholarship and another batch mate got 1500 euros.
  • The eligibility criteria are that you have to be in the top 2 in that particular batch and they would give scholarships.
  • On average, around 2-3 people per course would receive the scholarship.
