UP NEET PG counselling 2025 is ongoing on the official website. Students can register for the UP NEET PG round 3 counselling on 2 January 2026. Candidates can proceed to fill in their choices starting from 6 January to 9 January 2026. The UP NEET PG round 3 allotment result will be declared on 12 January 2025. Candidates can download the allotment letter from 13 January to 17 January 2026 on the official website.
UP NEET PG is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training on the official website at upneet.gov.in. The counselling is conducted for admission to MD, MS, DNB, Diploma and MDS courses offered by state government and private medical/dental colleges/institutions. To be eligible for UP NEET PG counselling, students must have completed an MBBS/BDS course from any recognised institute. Eligible students can participate in the UP NEET PG counselling by registering for the counselling on the official website. After registration for the counselling, students must proceed to fill in and submit the choices. Once the registration and choice filling & locking is over, DMET UP will release the UP NEET PG allotment. The allotment list for UP NEET PG is prepared based on the NEET ranks, choices filled by candidates, availability of seats and reservation criteria.

UP NEET PG Counselling: Eligibility Criteria
Students must fulfil the eligibility criteria for UP NEET PG before applying for counselling. Aspirants can check below the UP NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2025.
- Candidates must have qualified NEET PG 2025/NEET MDS 2025.
- Candidates must have completed a compulsory rotatory internship on or before 30 June 2025 for MDS and 15 August 2025 for MD/MS/DNB/DNB courses.
- Students who have completed MBBS/BDS from UP state colleges are eligible for state quota seats.
- Those who have completed MBBS/BDS from outside of UP state or from AMU, BHU, and AIIMS Raebareli/Gorakhpur are not eligible for UP state quota seats in government colleges. Such candidates are only eligible for admission to private medical and dental colleges only.
- Candidates who are already admitted based on NEET PG/NEET MDS entrance exams are not eligible to apply for admission through NEET PG 2025/NEET MDS 2025.
- For DNB courses, only in-service candidates are eligible.
UP NEET PG Counselling: Application Process
To participate in UP NEET PG counselling 2025, candidates must submit an online application and pay the required application fee. Students can follow the steps below to apply for NEET PG counselling.
- Visit the official website of UP NEET PG at upneet.gov.in.
- Under the registration section, click on the link for “MD/MS/DNB/MDS” registration.
- Register using personal and academic details.
- After registering for the state merit, pay the registration fee.
- After that, pay the security fee as prescribed by the authority.
- Now, under the counselling section on the home page, click on “Choice Filling MD/MS/DNB/MDS” and Fill in and lock choices.
UP NEET PG Counselling: Application Fee
While applying for the UP NEET PG counselling, students must pay the application fee. Students can check the table below for the UP NEET PG counselling registration fee 2025 and pay the fee accordingly.

UP NEET PG Counselling: Merit List 2025
After completing the registration and fee payment for UP NEET PG counselling, the concerned authority will prepare the UP NEET PG Merit List 2025. State merit list for UP NEET PG Counseling will be prepared based on weightage for in-service candidates and NEET PG 2025 ranks.
- For MD/MS/Diploma candidates, the merit list will be prepared after providing weightage to in-service candidates as per the government norms.
- For DNB and MDS, the merit list will be prepared based on the all india ranks of the candidates in NEET PG 2025.
UP NEET PG Counselling: Choice Filling
Once the dates are released for UP NEET PG choice filling and locking, students can proceed to fill in and lock their choices. Students can log on to the official website of UP NEET PG choice filling and locking. Students must note the below points before participating in UP NEET PG choice filling and locking.
- To fill choices, students must log in using their NEET Roll Number and Password.
- Students can fill as many choices as possible.
- Candidates can change their choices until final locking and submission.
- Students must lock and submit their choices to be considered for allotment.
- Once the choices are locked, students will not be allowed to change their choices.
UP NEET PG Counselling: Seat Allotment
After registration and choice filling, DMET UP will prepare the UP NEET PG allotment list. The allotment list for UP NEET PG 2025 will be prepared based on the NEET PG Ranks, Seat Matrix, and choices filled by the candidates. Students can download the UP NEET PG allotment order 2025 by visiting the official website of UP NEET PG 2025.
- Before reporting to the allotted colleges, students must download their allotment orders.
- Candidates will be allowed free exit in case the students do not take admission to the allotted institutes in round 1.
- If candidates want to reshuffle their seats in round 1, they will be eligible for upgradation up to round 3 of the counselling.
- Candidates are advised to not choose the same college/seat in which the candidate is already admitted. If the candidate is allotted the same seat in the reshuffling rounds, the previous admission will be automatically cancelled.
- The admission will be cancelled if the candidates do not take admission to the re-shuffled seat.
UP NEET PG Counselling: Reporting and Admission Process
After the release of the UP NEET PG Allotment Order, students must report to the allotted colleges to secure admission. Candidates must pay the admission fee as prescribed by the government at the allotted institutes. In minority colleges, students must pay the fee as fixed by the colleges.
- If candidates do not take admission to the allotted institutes, they will lose the right of admission to the allotted seat.
- Allotted students will lose their candidature in case they fail to produce the original documents or if any falsification of facts is observed.
