Chemistry covers Physical, Inorganic, and Organic Chemistry from Class 12. Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Coordination Compounds, and Organic reactions (Aldehydes, Ketones) are consistently high-weightage topics in SRMJEEE.

Mathematics (40 Questions | 40 Marks) — Engineering Students

Mathematics has the highest question count among the core science sections. Calculus alone contributes roughly 11–12 questions, making it the single most important topic. Algebra and Coordinate Geometry together account for another 15–17 questions.

The exam runs through the SRMJEEE Safe Exam Browser, which you must install before your exam slot. This browser locks your desktop during the exam, activates your webcam for live proctoring, and provides the on-screen question palette for navigation between sections.

Earlier editions had a combined 15-question English & Aptitude block (English: 5, Aptitude: 10); the current format allocates 20 questions to this section, reflecting the institute’s emphasis on communication and reasoning skills alongside technical knowledge.

How to Prepare Based on SRMJEEE Exam Pattern

Your preparation plan for SRMJEEE 2026 must be built around the specific structure of the exam: 130 equal-weight MCQs, no negative marking, 4 sections, 150 minutes, and home-based remote proctoring. Here is a pattern-driven strategy.

1. Front-load Mathematics or Biology (40 marks): Section 3 carries the most questions. For engineering students, Calculus (11–12 questions) and Algebra (8–9 questions) together account for nearly half the Mathematics section.
