- The registration fee is INR 300 per subject. For pratical based subjects, an additional feee of INR 150 must be paid.
- Students enrolled in stream 2 for the same course need not to pay the registration fee.
With a late fee of INR 150, you can apply from July 7 to 16 on the official website. But with a consolidated fee of INR 1,600, you can register for NIOS 10th October/November session from July 17 to 26.

NIOS 10th Eligibility Criteria 2024
Students who are appearing for the NIOS class 10th exam 2024, have to fulfill the following criteria:
- The Students who want to appear for secondary level must have an age of 14 years old or above.
- The student should have completed class 8 from a recognized board.
- Those students who have studied for secondary exams but they either have not completed them or if they are willing to improve their performance, are also eligible for the exam.
- Those Students who have also submitted a self-certificate that states “I have studied enough to be able to pursue secondary course” are also eligible to get admission.
Documents needed for NIOS 10th Registration 2024
The applicant must have an Email ID and a Mobile number that are active and some necessary documents for filling the NIOS class 10 admission form. The documents can be kept either as scanned copies or soft copies (jpg/ jpeg files).
The documents needed to upload while applying for NIOS 10th registration are as follows.
- Passport size colour Photo (Latest).
- Valid identity proof (Passport or Aadhaar Card or Ration card, etc.).
- Signature (in Black Ink).
- Valid proof of Birth date (like Birth Certificate, Aadhaar Card, etc.)
- Address proof (like Rented Agreement/Water Bill/Aadhaar Card//Electricity Bill/Voter ID/Indian Passport/Ration Card/Statement of Operational Bank Account)
- Mark sheet of Class 8.
- Caste certificate or Social category (if the applicant belongs to SC/ST/OBC social category).
- Certificate of Ex-serviceman (in case the applicant is an Ex-serviceman)
- Disability certificate (if the applicant has any disability)
- Previous Board’s Fail Mark sheet (in case of Transfer of Credit)
These documents shall be uploaded with the application for NIOS class 10. If the NIOS finds any discrepancy in these documents, then they will ask via email or SMS to submit the document’s hard copy with the registration form of NIOS 10th and photograph.
Steps to Register for NIOS 10th Exam 2024
Students must go through the step-by-step procedure to register for the NIOS class 10th exam 2024:
- Visit the official website.
- Click the tab that says ‘Click here to Register. Doing this will lead to the registration window for NIOS class 10.
- Select your state or union territory, type of identity, your preferred course and your identity number. Click on submit and proceed further. This shall open the window of basic details for NIOS 10th online admission.
- Now you must Enter your basic details such as your name, your father’s name, your gender, your mobile number and your address etc. Now you must Click on generate OTP and verify your details. Finally, Click on the Next button.
- Enter the additional details that are asked from you and then submit the NIOS 10th registration form.
- Now select the subjects, and exam centre preferences for NIOS and then upload relevant documents.
- Look at the Preview of NIOS class 10 admission form carefully before you finally submit it.
- Next, pay the fees online.
