LPUNEST 2025 Exam Pattern and Question Paper is different for each course. For B.Tech course, LPUENST 2025 is a 150 minutes test consisting of 120 objective type MCQs. The Exam Pattern is designed to test candidate's’ aptitude and test their knowledge with the standards of the chosen course. There will be 4 sections viz. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology and English in LPUNEST Question Paper. Each section holds 33% weightage of the total paper.
LPUNEST Syllabus 2025 is based on higher secondary and secondary level syllabus. 4 marks will be given for each correct answer in Physics, Chemistry and Maths/ Biology section, whereas 2 marks will be given in English section. There is no negative marking for incorrect or no responses. LPUNEST 2025 is going to be conducted as test centre based exam from January 20, 2025 to February 5, 2025 and remotely proctored exam from January 10, 2025 to February 5, 2025. LPUNEST Marking Scheme
LPUNEST 2025 Marking Scheme
Marking Scheme in any exam is set to decide the marks allotted to each question in the examination. Marking Scheme in LPUNEST follows +4/-0 for correct and incorrect responses. Questions not attempted in LPUNEST do not affect the total marks in the exam. Each question carries equal importance in the exam.

- No Negative Marking
The marking scheme mentioned above is followed in each section, except English, where right answers fetch you +2 marks instead. Candidates scoring the highest according to the marking scheme will be deemed to be the toppers of the exam. All the qualified candidates will be sorted in a merit list based upon marks obtained in their LPUNEST 2025 exam.

There are two ways to look at this. LPU NEST is a compulsory entrance exam to seek admission to any of the engineering, MBA or any other courses at LPU. You can skip to appear for LPU NEST if you have qualified any national level entrance exam for the course you are applying to. If you have a JEE Main score for BTech or CAT/CMAT etc for MBA you can get direct admission at LPU. However, in my opinion there are some advantages of appearing for the LPU NEST. If you qualify for it, you will eligible for a scholarship. The admission process is also very simple as everything is uploaded to the portal when you apply for LPU NEST and you just have to get it verified once selected.
