What is KLUEEE 2027?

The official name of the exam is KLEEE — KL Engineering Entrance Examination — but it is commonly referred to as KLUEEE (KL University Engineering Entrance Exam) by students and coaching institutes across India.

The exam is conducted for admissions to B.Tech programmes across more than 15 engineering branches, as well as B.Arch and B.Pharm, at KL University’s campuses. The main campus is in Vijayawada (Vaddeswaram), Andhra Pradesh. Additional campuses operate in Hyderabad, Telangana — at Aziz Nagar, Bowrampet, and Kondapur (GBS). All campuses offer B.Tech admissions through the same KLUEEE process.

KLUEEE is conducted in three phases every year. Phase 1 is held in November–December, Phase 2 in January–February, and Phase 3 in March–April. KLUEEE 2027 Eligibility Criteria

You must check the KLUEEE 2027 eligibility criteria carefully before applying. Meeting all conditions is necessary — KL University verifies your eligibility during document verification at counselling.

Academic Qualification

• You must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognised board.
• Candidates appearing in Class 12 exams in the 2026–27 academic year can also apply for KLUEEE 2027.
• The mandatory subjects in Class 12 are Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
• You must have scored at least 60% aggregate marks in Class 12.

Direct Admission Through Other Entrance Exams

You do not need to appear for KLUEEE 2027 if you have a valid score in any of the following exams. KL University accepts these for direct B.Tech admission:

Age Limit

There is no specific upper age limit for KLUEEE 2027. Any candidate who meets the academic qualification criteria is eligible to apply, regardless of age.

Nationality

KLUEEE 2027 is open to Indian nationals, NRI candidates, and foreign nationals. NRI and international student admissions are processed separately through the KL University international admissions office.

How to Apply for KLUEEE 2027

The KLUEEE 2027 application process is fully online through the official admissions portal. There are no offline forms or centres. You should complete each step carefully — errors in the form can cause problems during counselling.

1. Step 1 — Register Online: Go to admissions.kluniversity.in and create a new account using your email address and mobile number. You will receive your login ID and password via email and SMS.

3. Step 3 — Select Exam Phase: Choose the phase (Phase 1, 2, or 3) in which you want to appear. You can apply for multiple phases separately. Your best score across all phases will be used for admission.
4. Step 4 — Slot Booking: Choose your preferred exam date and time slot from the available options for your selected phase. Slots are allotted on a first-come, first-served basis, so book early.
5. Step 5 — Upload Documents: Upload a scanned passport-size photograph and your signature in the format and size specified in the instructions. Make sure the photo is recent and clear.
6. Step 6 — Pay the Application Fee: Pay the non-refundable fee of Rs. 1,000 using a debit card, credit card, or net banking. No offline payment is accepted.
7. Step 7 — Download Confirmation: After fee payment, download and save the application confirmation page. Your admit card will be available separately on the portal a few days before the exam.

The KLUEEE 2027 application fee of Rs. 1,000 is non-refundable under any circumstances. Verify all your details before making the payment.

Candidates who want admission through JEE Main or other accepted exam scores should apply directly for KL University admission on the admissions portal — they do not need to register for KLUEEE 2027.

KLUEEE 2027 Application Fee

The KLUEEE 2027 application fee is expected to be Rs. 1,000, the same as in the 2026 cycle. There is one fee per phase — if you apply for all three phases, you pay Rs. 1,000 for each phase separately.

There are no fee concessions or waivers for any category in KLUEEE. The application fee is the same for all candidates — General, OBC, SC, ST, and others. Always pay through the official portal only to get a valid confirmation receipt.

Top B.Tech Branches at KL University Through KLUEEE 2027

KL University offers more than 15 B.Tech specialisations through KLUEEE 2027. The Vijayawada (Vaddeswaram) campus has the largest number of seats and the widest range of branches. Hyderabad campuses at Aziz Nagar, Bowrampet, and GBS Kondapur offer most of the popular branches as well.

Total B.Tech seat intake at KL University’s Vijayawada campus is approximately 3,570 across all branches. CSE and AI & DS are the most sought-after branches — they fill up at the lowest ranks. If you are targeting these branches, you need a rank within 6,000–7,000 for the Vijayawada campus.

Apart from B.Tech, KL University also admits students for B.Arch and B.Pharm through the same KLUEEE portal. B.Arch requires a valid NATA score in addition to KLUEEE. B.Pharm admissions are based on Physics and Chemistry marks only.

Start with NCERT for Physics and Chemistry, and your board’s Class 11–12 Maths textbook. NCERT concepts form the base for at least 65–70% of KLUEEE questions. Do not skip board-level topics for advanced reference material before finishing NCERT thoroughly.

Focus on High-Weightage Topics First

Not all topics are equal in KLUEEE. Certain chapters appear more frequently than others:

• Mathematics: Calculus (Differentiation, Integration, and Differential Equations), Coordinate Geometry, and Algebra are the most important chapters. Together, they cover more than 12–15 of the 25 Mathematics questions.
• Physics: Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Electromagnetic Induction, and Modern Physics are regularly tested. If you find theory-based questions easier, these four chapters can get you 10+ marks in Physics.

Since KLUEEE has no negative marking, you should never leave any question unattempted. If you are unsure about an answer, eliminate the clearly wrong options and make an educated guess. Attempting all 75 questions takes away the biggest risk in MCQ exams — leaving marks on the table.

Phase 1 typically has the highest number of applicants. If you feel you need more preparation time, Phase 2 or Phase 3 may give you a better rank for the same score due to fewer competitors. Prepare for JEE Main Simultaneously

If you are also preparing for JEE Main 2027, your JEE Main preparation covers the entire KLUEEE syllabus and then some.
