Karnataka AYUSH NEET Counselling 2024: Eligibility Criteria

To apply for Karnataka AYUSH NEET Counselling 2024, candidates need to fulfill certain eligibility criteria that are given in below points:

• NEET Passed: To be eligible, aspirants must have passed the NEET Entrance Examination.
• Karnataka Resident: Candidates must be residents of Karnataka to apply for Karnataka AYUSH 2024 Counselling.
• Academic Qualification: In order to apply for Karnataka AYUSH NEET Counselling, aspirants must have qualified for their 10+2 exam or an equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology from a recognized educational institution.
• Minimum Percentage: General Category candidates must possess a minimum of 50% of marks, 45% of marks for PwD, and 40% of marks for SC/ST to apply for Karnataka AYUSH NEET Counselling.
• Age Limit: To apply for Karnataka AYUSH NEET Counselling, aspirants should have completed 17 years as on December 31, 2024.

Karnataka AYUSH NEET Counselling 2024: Domicile Criteria

Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has certain domicile requirements that applicants need to fulfill to be eligible for Karnataka AYUSH NEET Counselling 2024. The domicile requirements are given in below points:

• Candidates should have completed their classes 11 and 12 or any equivalent examination from a Karnataka government-recognized school, and their parents must have studied for at least 7 years in Karnataka.
• Students between class 1 and class 12, must have attended one or more Karnataka government-recognized schools for a minimum of seven years.
• If the candidate and his/ her parent's mother tongue is Kannada, Kodava, and Tulu, and the parents are a resident of Karnataka and the aspirants must have presented an educational institute outside Karnataka and lived outside of the state. In that case, the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will conduct a Kannada Language Test for the candidate.
• Candidates who are the children of Defence personnel and have announced Karnataka as their home state while joining the armed forces.
• Candidates whose parents work for the Karnataka State government or central government and are responsible to be transferred anywhere in the country, but have worked in Karnataka state for a minimum of one year, while the aspirants were reading for classes 11 and 12 or its equivalent class at a government recognized institute in Karnataka.
• Aspirants who are the children of ex-servicemen and who have mentioned Karnataka as their hometown when applying for the Defence Services will be needed to show proof of residence. Aspirants from any recognized institution in the country should have passed a qualifying examination.
• Candidates who have completed 10+2 from a recognized board anywhere in the country and are children of Karnataka MPs are eligible to run.
• Aspirants whose parents are employed in the Karnataka State Government, All India Services of Karnataka cadre, and are working or have worked outside the Karnataka state in the period corresponding to the aspirants study outside the state i.e., from class 1 to 12 or its equivalent class, and have studied for at least 7 years
• Applicants whose parents are migrants of Jammu and Kashmir. Migration Proof must be shown to the appropriate authority.
• Candidates whose parents named Karnataka as their birthplace and are members of the Central Armed Police Force when applying for the CAPF. Proof of residence should be presented and obtained by the appropriate authorities. Aspirants should have passed their graduation from a recognized board anywhere in the country with a 10+2 diploma.
• Candidates who have completed ten years of education in Kannada medium need not be required to appear in any KEA language tests and must have qualified for a qualifying examination from any government-approved institution in the country.
