JEXPO 2026 Eligibility Criteria (Before You Apply)

Read these eligibility rules before you start the application — WBSCTVESD rejects ineligible forms and the application fee is not refunded.

• Nationality: You must be an Indian citizen.
• Domicile: You should be a permanent resident of West Bengal. Students from other states can apply against specific quota seats only.
• Qualifying Exam: You must have passed Class 10 (Madhyamik) or equivalent from a recognised board with Mathematics and Physical Science as compulsory subjects.
• Minimum Marks: You need at least 35% aggregate marks in Class 10. Some private institutes follow lower cut-offs as per WBSCTVESD norms.
• Age Limit: Your date of birth should not be after July 1, 2011. There is no upper age limit.
• Appearing Students: Students appearing in the 2026 Class 10 exam can also apply provisionally — you must submit your result during counselling.

Phase 1: New Registration

1. Visit the official website at scvtwb.in and click on the "JEXPO 2026 New Registration" link.
2. Enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID exactly as printed on your Class 10 admit card or certificate.
3. Verify your mobile number and email ID using the OTPs sent by the portal.
4. Set a strong password and note your Application Number — you will need it for every future login, including admit-card-free counselling.
5. Save your login credentials securely — they are required for the form correction window, merit list check, and counselling.

Phase 2: Fill the Application Form

1. Log in using your Application Number and password at scvtwb.in.
2. Fill in personal details: name, parents’ names, date of birth, gender, category, religion, and nationality.
3. Enter your address details — permanent and correspondence address — along with the district and PIN code.
4. Fill in academic details: Class 10 board, year of passing, roll number, school name, and subject-wise marks (especially Mathematics, Physical Science, and English).
5. Select your course preference (Engineering, Technology, or Architecture stream) and preferred institutes / districts.
6. Upload your passport-size photograph, signature, Class 10 marksheet/admit card, and category certificate (if applicable) in the prescribed format and size.
7. Review every field carefully — cross-check your name, DOB, category, and marks before proceeding to payment.
8. Pay the application fee of ₹450 (₹225 for Kanyashree enrolees) via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
9. Submit the form and download the confirmation page — take a printout and keep it safe until the counselling round is over.

Note: Submit only one application form. Multiple applications from the same student will be rejected and the fee will not be refunded.

Payment is accepted via: Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, and UPI. No offline payment (cheque, demand draft, or cash) is accepted by the WBSCTVESD portal.
