- Admission to 1st-year polytechnic courses is done through the merit list based on the 10th-class marks.
- Students whose names are mentioned on the JEXPO merit list are eligible for admission to the diploma courses in West Bengal.
- 25% of seats are reserved for students applying through Management Quota
- 22% are reserved for SC candidates.
- In fact, for female candiates as well 25% seats are reserved.

Joint Entrance Exam for Polytechnic (JEXPO) is a state-level joint entrance exam conducted for admission to Polytechnic Diploma in Engineering offered by Government and Private Institutions in State West Bengal.

JEXPO 2025 Counselling
Admission will be finalized on the basis of a centralized Counselling process to be conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education. There will be 3 phases of counselling rounds.
- The candidate will have to Register for Admission Process
- Log in with the enrolment number and password provided during registration for JEXPO 2025
- Provide Personal Information and register
- Go to Choice Filling Section and Select Institute and Branch giving preferences
- There is no maximum limit for choices and the auto-up-gradation option can also be taken
- Lock choices and take printouts.
- On the basis of locked choices, candidates will be allotted seats.
Documents Required During Counselling
- Seat Allotment Letter
- Printout of Registration Form for Admission
- Mark sheets certificate of S.S.C. or Equivalent from the Board of Secondary Education / CBSE / ICSC as the case may be.
- Admit Card of Class 10th examination
- Admit Card and Score Card for JEXPO 2025
- Aadhaar Card / Passport / Voter ID / or School ID issued by competent authority
- Domicile / Bonafide Certificate
- Migration Certificate from the University / Board of last attended if required
- SC / ST / Physically Handicapped certificate from the competent authority for the respective reserved category
- Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended
- Medical Fitness Certificate in prescribed Form
JEXPO 2025 Eligibility
JEXPO 2025 Eligibility is basically based on the Academic Qualification, Age Limit, and Residential Status of the candidates. Eligibility differs as per the Category of the Candidates. The requirement is as follows:
Academic Qualification
- Candidate must have passed class 10 with English, Physical Science, and Mathematics as a compulsory subjects from any recognized Board for Secondary Education
- Minimum marks should be 35 % in aggregate
Nationality/Domicile
- The candidate must be Indian National
Age Limit
- The candidate must be born before July 1, 2007.
- No upper limit age is defined
JEXPO 2025 Application Form
JEXPO 2025 Application Form can be retrieved and submitted through both Online Mode and Offline Mode.
- Begin with online registration on the official website for JEXPO 2025 i.e. scvtwb.in.
- Before proceeding to fill up the application form for JEXPO 2025, the applicant must arrange soft copies of the Passport Size Self Photograph and Signature.
- The applicant is also advised to ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria prescribed for the degree program applying for admission.
- JEXPO 2025 application fee for offline mode is INR 450/- and INR 250/- for female applicants and for online mode is INR 450/- and INR 225/- for female applicants. Bank charges are not included in the fee and will have to be borne by the candidate as per the bank norms.
- The offline application form will be available in Government and Private Polytechnic and ITI Institutions / Colleges.
- The candidate will have to fill in Application Form as OMR Sheet carefully.
- The offline form will have to be submitted to the same college from where it was received.
- Other processes are the same as the online application form process.
JEXPO 2025 Admit Card
Admit Card for JEXPO 2025 would have been available on the official website portal but the exam has been scrapped this year. In General, eligible candidates can download the JEXPO admit card from the official website. The admit card will not be sent to the candidates via any other channel.
JEXPO 2025 Exam Pattern
- It is an offline Pen Paper Based Test, the duration of which is 02 hours.
- JEXPO 2025 comprises two (02) test papers, which have 200 multiple-choice questions.
- Maximum marks are 200 and each correct answer earns one (1) mark. A negative marking scheme is not applicable in JEXPO 2025.
- The test papers will be based on 03 subjects. Each Paper has distinct number of questions and weightage.

JEXPO is a paper-based test conducted for two hours. There are two sections, in the first section 100 MCQs will be asked from Mathematics while in the second section 50 MCQs each from Physics and Chemistry will be asked.
When the application form releasing
The official date for the commencement of JEXPO 2023 application process is yet to be announced. But the application process is expected to begin in the third week of May 2023.
