- The HP PAT results will not be sent to candidates through email or post.
- To attend HP PAT 2026 Counselling, qualifying marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category is 60 marks (10% of total marks).
- For candidates belonging to the General category, the qualifying mark is 90 marks (15% of total marks).
Selection cut-off marks for HP PAT 2026 polytechnic entrance exam depend on the total number of candidates appeared, the difficulty level of the question paper, etc. However, there is a minimum cut-off score for the written exam based on the caste category of candidates, in order to qualify them for the written exam.

HP PAT 2026 Counselling
Himachal Pradesh Technical Education Board is conducting the counselling procedure online mode through the official website. The counseling has already started and a list for second counseling will be declared. Candidates are selected based on the availability of seats in colleges and choices submitted by the students. Candidates can download the counseling letter from the official website. After seat allotment, candidates are needed to report to the allotted center at the specified time and date mentioned in the counseling letter for document verification. If the candidate does not report to the allotted center in the prescribed time, then their seat allotment will be canceled.

HP PAT 2026 Tie-Breaking Criteria
A tie is a situation when two or more candidates have scored equal marks or the same rank in the entrance exam. The tie-breaking criteria as prescribed by the official authority are mentioned below.
- In case of tie, the tie breaking criteria will be in the order of marks obtained in Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Mathematics and English
- If the tie still persists, candidate with senior in age will be priotized then.
