CSEET 2026: June Result Expected, Exam Dates, Syllabus, Pattern and Eligibility

The CSEET 2026 (Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test) is the gateway examination conducted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) for admission to the CS Executive Programme. The CSEET June 2026 session was successfully conducted from 1^st to 4^th June 2026 in offline centre-based mode under the brand-new pattern. The result for the June session is expected in the third week of June 2026, while registration for the CSEET October 2026 session is currently open till 30^th June 2026.

• CSEET June 2026 Result: The result is expected to be declared in the third week of June 2026. ICSI usually releases the CSEET result within 10 days of the exam, and for the January 2026 session the result was out on 20^th January 2026.
• CSEET October 2026 Registration: Registration is open till 30^th June 2026 at smash.icsi.edu. The registration fee is Rs. 7,500 and the enrollment fee is Rs. 1,500 per session.

• CS Executive Registration: Candidates who clear CSEET June 2026 can register for the CS Executive Programme. The last date to register for the Executive Programme to appear in the December 2026 session is 31^st July 2026.

What is CSEET 2026?

The CSEET 2026, or Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test, is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). It is the only route through which Class 12 pass candidates can enter the Company Secretary (CS) course. After clearing CSEET, you become eligible to register for the CS Executive Programme, which is the second stage of the CS course.

From the June 2026 session onwards, ICSI has completely revamped the CSEET. The exam is now held in offline centre-based mode instead of the earlier remote proctored mode. The pattern has been changed from a single 2-hour paper to four separate papers of 100 marks each. The total marks have increased to 400, and the exam is now conducted over four consecutive days.

The exam is now held three times a year in February, June, and October. Earlier, CSEET used to be conducted four times in January, May, July, and November. More than 1 lakh candidates appear in CSEET every year, making it one of the most popular professional entrance exams after CA Foundation.

The CSEET is an objective and subjective mix designed to test your aptitude for the CS profession. The exam focuses on business communication, legal aptitude, logical reasoning, economic awareness, and presentation skills. The exam is being made more rigorous and subjective-oriented to assess conceptual clarity and professional aptitude.

CSEET 2026 Latest Updates

• CSEET June 2026 Exam Conducted: The June session was held from 1^st to 4^th June 2026 in offline mode. This was the first session conducted under the new pattern.

CSEET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The CSEET 2026 eligibility is broad and student-friendly. There is no entrance-level cutoff in Class 12 marks and no upper age limit. The detailed criteria are listed below.

• Nationality: You must be a citizen of India.
• Educational Qualification: You must have passed Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board. Students appearing for Class 12 can also apply, but they must produce their pass certificate before joining the CS Executive Programme.
• Age Limit: There is no upper age limit. The minimum requirement is that you should have completed Class 12.
• Subject Stream: Any stream — Commerce, Science, Arts, or Vocational — is eligible.
• No Minimum Percentage: ICSI does not specify a minimum percentage in Class 12 for CSEET registration.

Who is Exempted from CSEET?

Some candidates do not need to clear CSEET and can directly register for the CS Executive Programme. These exemptions help students who have already cleared higher-level commerce examinations save time.

• Candidates who have passed the Final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
• Candidates who have passed the Final examination of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI).
• Graduates and Post-Graduates with a minimum of 50% marks in any discipline (excluding Fine Arts).

Steps to Apply for CSEET 2026

• Step 1 - Registration: Visit smash.icsi.edu and click on the CSEET registration link. Enter your personal details, email ID, and mobile number.
• Step 2 - Form Filling: Fill in your educational qualification, parents’ details, communication address, and category. Choose the preferred exam centre.
• Step 3 - Document Upload: Upload your scanned photograph, signature, and Class 10 mark sheet (for date of birth proof). Class 12 mark sheet is required if already passed.
• Step 4 - Fee Payment: Pay the registration fee of Rs. 7,500 plus the enrollment fee of Rs. 1,500 through net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.
• Step 5 - Submission: Submit the form and download the acknowledgement page. Take a printout for future reference.

CSEET 2026 Admit Card

The CSEET 2026 admit card is the most important document to carry on the exam day. ICSI releases the e-admit card 10-15 days before the exam on the official portal. The June 2026 admit card was released in May 2026, and the October 2026 admit card is expected in September 2026.

How to Download CSEET Admit Card

• Visit the official ICSI portal — icsi.edu or the candidate login at smash.icsi.edu.
• Click on the ‘CSEET Admit Card’ link.
• Enter your registration number and date of birth.
• The admit card will appear on screen.
• Download and take at least two printouts on A4 paper.

CSEET 2026 Exam Centres

The CSEET 2026 exam centres are now spread across major cities in India under the new offline pattern. You can choose your preferred centre during registration. ICSI tries to allot the first preference centre based on seat availability.

• The exam is conducted across major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune, Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna, Bhopal, and Chandigarh.
• Smaller cities like Nagpur, Indore, Coimbatore, Vishakhapatnam, Raipur, Ranchi, Guwahati, and Bhubaneswar also serve as centres.
• State capitals and union territory headquarters are also included.
• Centres are allotted based on the preference and availability at the time of registration.
• You should reach the exam centre at least 60 minutes before the reporting time to avoid last-minute issues.

Exam Centre Rules

• Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, and smart watches are not allowed inside the exam hall.
• Calculators are not permitted unless mentioned in the admit card.
• You must carry a transparent water bottle, black or blue ballpoint pen, and your admit card.
• Reaching the centre after the gate-closing time will not be permitted.

CSEET 2026 Preparation Tips

Subject-wise Preparation Strategy

• Business Communication: Read newspapers daily — The Hindu and Business Standard help with vocabulary and comprehension. Practice letter writing, emails, and résumé drafting at least 3 times a week.
• Legal Aptitude: Start with the Indian Constitution basics. Solve previous year reasoning questions from CSEET and CLAT papers.
• Economic and Business Environment: Stick to NCERT Class 11 and 12 Economics books. Add the latest Economic Survey for current data.
• Current Affairs: Maintain a current affairs notebook. Cover the last 6 months before the exam in detail.

General Preparation Tips

• Stick to ICSI Reference Reading Material because the questions are usually framed from these books.
