BIT Mesra publishes the merit list as a PDF on its official website — not through an individual result login. Once the result is out, here’s how you find your name in it.

BIT MCA 2027 Rank Card Details

BIT MCA 2027 Qualifying Marks

The BIT MCA selection process has two stages. You have to clear a minimum threshold at each stage to move forward. Failing either stage means you’re not considered for admission, regardless of your overall score.

Stage 1 — Written Test (CBT):

• 100 MCQ questions, 2 hours, no negative marking
• Part A: 50 questions on Computer Fundamentals — you must score at least 35 out of 50 to qualify for the PI stage
• Part B: 50 questions on Mathematics, Analytical Ability, Logical Reasoning, and General English
• Scoring below 35 in Part A eliminates you even if your total score is high
• Among those who clear Part A, only the top 600 candidates (by total score) go to the PI

Stage 2 — Personal Interview (PI):

• PI carries 100 marks and has 60% weight in the final merit score
• You must score at least 38 marks out of 100 in the PI
• Final merit score = (Written Test Score × 0.40) + (PI Score × 0.60)

Since there is no negative marking, attempt all 100 questions in the written test. A strong Part A score is more important than a high total — it’s the filter that decides whether you even get to the PI stage.

BIT MCA Seat Matrix 2027

BIT Mesra offers approximately 180 MCA seats across its four campuses. Seats in each campus are further divided among categories — General (UR), OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, ST, and PwD — as per government reservation norms. When applying, you can choose up to three campuses in order of preference. You cannot change this preference after submitting your application, so pick carefully. Campus allotment during counselling depends on your merit rank and the availability of seats at your preferred campus.
