AP EDCET 2026 (Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Dravidian University on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) for admission to the 2-year B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) programme at colleges across Andhra Pradesh. What is AP EDCET 2026?

AP EDCET stands for Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test. It is a state-level entrance exam for admission to the 2-year B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) programme at government, government-aided, and private unaided colleges across Andhra Pradesh. The exam is organised by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), with a different state university assigned as the conducting authority each year on a rotational basis. For 2026, Dravidian University, Kuppam is the conducting university.

The B.Ed degree is a professional teacher training qualification that enables graduates to teach at the secondary and senior secondary level. After completing B.Ed, candidates can appear for the AP DSC (District Selection Committee) or AP TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) to become government school teachers in Andhra Pradesh. AP EDCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• You must have a Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.C.A., B.B.M., B.E., B.Tech., or an equivalent degree) from a UGC-recognised university
• Final-year degree students who are awaiting results can also apply provisionally, subject to producing the final certificate at the time of counselling
• For Part C (Methodology), you must have studied the subject of your choice as part of your undergraduate curriculum

Nationality and Domicile

• You must be an Indian citizen
• 85% of seats in each college and methodology are reserved for local candidates of Andhra Pradesh

AP EDCET 2026 Application Process & Fee

The AP EDCET 2026 application was entirely online at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. Applications were open from February 11, 2026. The regular deadline without late fee was March 26, 2026. After that, candidates could apply with escalating late fees up to April 4, 2026. The application window for 2026 is now fully closed.

• Step 1 — Register: Enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID to create your login credentials on the official portal

AP EDCET 2026 Application Fee

The application fee for AP EDCET 2026 is non-refundable. Late fee charges were Rs.2,000, Rs.4,000, and Rs.10,000 for three successive extension windows after the March 26 deadline.

AP EDCET 2026 Admit Card

The AP EDCET 2026 admit card (hall ticket) was released on April 20, 2026 at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. Candidates downloaded it by logging in with their application number and date of birth. The hall ticket was a mandatory document — no candidate was allowed entry into the exam centre without a valid printed hall ticket.

AP EDCET 2026 Exam Day Instructions

• You must report at the exam centre at least 30–45 minutes before the scheduled start time
