Allahabad University PGAT 2024 Exam Pattern: There will be 2 papers in Allahabad University PGAT 2024- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 will be in online mode as well as offline mode, whereas Paper 2 will be in online mode only.
- The question paper of the exam will be of 300 marks.
- For M.A and M.Sc programs, the time duration of the examination is 3 hours (90 minutes for each program). Combined question booklets will be there for these programs.
- For programs such as M.Com, M.A/M.Sc in Anthropology, M.Sc in Biochemistry, M.Sc in Agriculture Science, M.Sc in Computer Science and M.A in Mass Communication, the time duration of the examination is 2 hours.
- Extra 15 minutes will be given to candidates when the invigilator will distribute the question booklets and answer sheets. Candidates need to fill the necessary information on their answer sheet during these 15 minutes.
- Total 150 objective type questions will be asked in the examination.

Allahabad University PGAT 2024 Exam Pattern in Detail
Allahabad University PGAT 2023 is classified into 2 groups. PGAT-I is for conventional subjects (List I to IV) whereas PGAT-II is for non-conventional/specified subjects (List V).
- The question paper will be of 300 marks.
- 150 MCQs (multiple choice questions) will be asked in the examination.
- For every accurate answer, candidates will get 2 marks.
- For every wrong answer, 0.5 marks will be deducted.
Although there are various subjects, the pattern of the question paper is uniform. There will be 2 sections in the exam. Section A is the General Aptitude Test. It is common for all candidates appearing in the examination. The questions from this section will be based on general awareness, logical reasoning, quantitative ability, etc.
Section B is the Subject Proficiency Test. The questions from this section will be based on the particular subject in which candidates are seeking admission.
Allahabad University PGAT 2024 Marking Scheme
The marking scheme of Allahabad University PGAT 2024 is simple. The total marks of the examination is 300 marks. 150 questions will be asked in the examination. For every correct answer, candidates will obtain 2 marks. On the other hand, there is a negative marking of 0.5 for every wrong answer. Therefore, if candidates are not at all sure about any answer, they can skip it to avoid negative marking.
