AIIMS Paramedical 2025 Score Calculation
The AIIMS Paramedical exam scoring involves a standardized process to convert raw scores into normalized scores, which are then used to determine merit lists and rankings. The exam is 90 minutes long with 90 multiple-choice questions.
AIIMS Paramedical Marking Scheme
- Correct Answer: +1 mark
- Incorrect Answer: -1/3 mark
- Unanswered Question: 0 mark

Example Calculation:
Suppose a candidate attempted 80 questions:
- Correct answers: 60
- Incorrect answers: 20
- Unanswered questions: 10
Then,
- Marks from correct answers = 60 × 1 = 60
- Negative marks for wrong answers = 20 × ⅓ = 6.67
Total Raw Score = 60 - 6.67 = 53.33
A standardized process to convert raw scores into normalized scores, which are then used to determine merit lists and rankings.
AIIMS Paramedical Normalization and Percentile
The candidate’s final selection is based on the normalized percentile score + category merit.
AIIMS uses a percentile-based normalization process (if multiple shifts are conducted) to ensure fairness:

- The top scorer gets the 100th percentile
- Ties are resolved using scores in Biology > Chemistry > and Physics
