  • Myth: Every MPA admission requires a national entrance exam.
  • Fact: Merit-based routes also exist. Guru Nanak Dev University stated that its 2026 MPA Music (Instrumental) admission would not have an entrance test, while LPU's published programme criteria use qualifying-examination merit.
  • Myth: MPA graduates can only become stage performers.
  • Fact: Career routes also include teaching, choreography, research, arts entrepreneurship, event management and cultural administration.
