BTech Molecular and Cellular Engineering: Entrance Exam Preparation Tips

To help candidates prepare better and efficiently for the entrance examinations, the following tips and tricks can be referred to.

  • Divide your studying schedule: Studying without a deadline is not something that candidates can afford, therefore candidates must assign their days to certain topics and finish them within the deadline.
  • Keep your resources limited: It is a must for candidates to remain focused and having too many study resources will only alleviate the stress. Therefore, they must research well and shortlist their study resources for the study plan and stick to it. They can

  • Revision is the Key: Candidates should not keep revision of the topics for the last minute. They should keep regular revision sessions for regular intervals. They should make some crisp and short notes for the last minute reading and avoid unnecessary panic before the exam.
  • Maintain a Healthy lifestyle: This has been repeated several times but only because it is highly significant to maintain a healthy lifestyle if candidates need to keep themselves productive at the peak. Sleep for 6-7 hours, and on time and stay hydrated and take breaks at intervals. Candidates know that they binge watching tv shows and social media can be tempting but you’ve a goal for the next few months and like everything in the world, it comes at a cost.
  • Mock tests are considered to be the game Changers as It is only through mock tests that one can identify his strengths and weaknesses, so candidates must take up mock tests at least twice a week and increase the frequency if you feel like time management and accuracy needs to be worked upon.
  • Candidates may find it difficult to understand a particular topic from recommended books. Hence, Youtube channels and online resources are a good source of preparation for the candidates as one can find unlimited video lectures on each subject. Each video is very informative and easy to comprehend for the preparation. The lectures are prepared by field experts to cater to the needs of candidates who are slow at understanding all the concepts.

BTech Molecular and Cellular Engineering: Tips to get admission in Best College

To get admission into a good college one needs to ensure to have scored more than 80% at the Intermediate level from a recognised board. Apart from this, most of the institutes provide admission to the course on the basis of entrance tests, hence preparing well for the entrance exams is a must for an aspirant to get the best college.

Following are some of the points to get admission in top colleges offering BTEch Molecular and Cellular Engineering Courses:

  • Candidates should be aware of the types of questions and the difficulty level of the questions asked in different entrance tests. Some exam papers are comparatively easier to attempt than the others.
  • Since questions are asked from the syllabus covered at the Intermediate level, going over the study material and notes would be sufficient. Revision of all basic concepts must be done by the candidates.
  • Some papers have an English section and an Aptitude section in the examination. Preparation for such sections can be by practicing past papers.
  • They must be aware of all dates and deadlines like Examination application dates, exam dates, etc. are changed and advertised in all major newspapers.
  • Candidates should take a look at the daily news and affairs of the world regularly. Keeping up to date with the news will help in preparation for the examination and counseling round but also act as a break from studying.

Last but not least, candidates need to clear the rounds like counselling and verification round with confidence and success.

Note: Before shortlisting and selecting colleges finally, they must ensure to check the placement rate of the college, method of course delivery, admission system, and the financial aid offered there.

Ques. Is biotech better than mechanical engineering?

● Top Answer By Rohan Yadav on 05 Apr 24

Ans. While choosing an engineering branch you should consider your career goals, interests and inclination. Both these branches have different scope and objectives. Mechanical engineering deals with designing and manufacturing mechanical systems, and Biotech combines Biology and Technology for development in areas like healthcare, agriculture, and environmental conservation. It is important for you to go through the curriculum of both these branches to decide which one better suits your interests and long term goals. Mechanical will offer you job opportunities in the automotive, aerospace, energy, robotics, and manufacturing sector. After Biotech you can work in the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, and agricultural sector. It is up to you to analyze the potential and market demand for both these branches.  If you are skilled in Maths, Physics, Problem-solving, and Design, you can opt for Mechanical. On the other hand, Biotechnology requires an understanding of Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Lab Techniques, and Data Analysis. Biotechnology is constantly making new innovations in fields like genetic engineering, drug development, and bioprocessing. This choice is highly subjective, and completely depends upon your own interest. Both these fields are making rapid progress in their own manner. You have to ultimately decide which one is more in line with your own aspirations.Read more
