There is internships provided during the duration of the course at pushpagiri College of pharmacy for pharm.D students. There are scope for other internships depending on the field u wan to explore in.

The internship of the course is done in the hospital of the college which is sutuated elsewhere (about 5-10km from the college premise). During internship students go for ward rounds and write down cases and also do case presentations. The final year of the course is internship but tuition fees of ?1,90,000 (or ?3,00,00 for NRI) still has to be paid for it. A stipend of ?5000 is paid monthly to the students. Projects are compleyed in 5th year and not during internship. Externship can also be done but must be prior notified and requested in the college for permission.

Internship program for 1 year done in pushpagiri medical college including ward rounds, seminar presentatation, counselling,. Surgery posting is also there. Project for pharmd done in therir fifth year, Clerkship also done in fifthe year based on daily ward rounds for 6 months.

As far as the pharmacy colleges are concerned there are no any placements directly from the college. But after the academic studies students should go for 3-month training from approved hospital pharmacies, once the student completed the training, he/she can go for Kerala state pharmacy council registration. After successful registration of his/her license number, he/she can work as a registered pharmacist in any retail pharmacy or any hospital pharmacy as a pharmacist. the job availability as of now is very high for a registered pharmacist. with a salary range of 10000 per month.
