IISER TVM UG Admission Process 2025

Admission to the IISER TVM UG Course is based on the Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE Advanced, or the score obtained in State and Central Boards. Candidates applying through the SCB channel are required to appear in the IISER TVM Aptitude Test (IAT) followed by an interview to secure admission in the UG program. IISER TVM UG admission process for BS + MS is given below.

Fill the online application form at the IISER TVM’s official admission portal.
Fill in the personal details, Qualification details, and upload the documents required to complete the application process.
Fill the centre choice for IISER TVM Admission Test (IAT) and select the IISER TVMs in the decreasing order of your preference.
The application fee for the form is INR. 2000 for general category students and INR. 1000 for reserved caste candidates.
After the declaration of the IAT 2025 results, Candidates will be asked for their preferences for IISER TVMs in the online application form during counselling. The entire counselling process will be conducted online.
Candidates can check if they received admission offers by logging into their application portal.
The candidate can exercise two options: The Candidate can FREEZE the seat (they will be allotted to the IISER TVM shown in the offer. They will not participate in further rounds of counselling), OR candidate can FLOAT (they will participate in further rounds of counselling to get their higher preferences).

The PG program admission is based on the national-level online screening tests, followed by IAT (IISER TVM Aptitude Test) in each subject, conducted by IISER TVM. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the screening test will be through interviews conducted by the respective schools. The Admission process for the PG course is mentioned below.

Applicants should complete the online application form at the following URL: MSc Admission | IISER TVM TVM.
Applicants will also upload necessary supporting documents.
Candidates are required to make a payment of INR 1000 (candidates belonging to the SC/ST category should pay INR 500) as a processing fee through the application portal. For Integrated PhD courses, online fees are INR 500, and SC/ST students are exempted from online fees.
On submission of the online application form, the applicants will receive an acknowledgement email with an application number.
Applicants shortlisted based on the online screening test may be invited for online interview(s) at IISER TVM.

Note: In case of the Integrated PhD course, Candidates who wish to apply to individual/different schools through different streams (JGEEBILS, JAM) need to fill separate application forms, and a separate fee has to be paid for each application.

IISER TVM provides a lot of facilities for the students by building a technology-friendly environment in various locations on the campus. The provided facilities are:

Academic facilities - Currently, the main academic complex comprises the Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences and Mathematics buildings along with the Lecture Hall complex, Animal House and Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) buildings.
Student facilities - IISER TVM is a fully residential campus with hostels provided for male and female students. There are two Dining Halls as part of the hostel complex, in addition to other eateries. An Indoor Stadium, in addition to outdoor courts, provide sports facilities. There are several other recreation areas for cultural activities.
Health Centre - The well-equipped health centre has staff round the clock. An ambulance is available in case of emergencies that need immediate medical care in a bigger hospital.
Guest House - Visitors Forest Retreat- The location of the institute's guest house, Visitors Forest Retreat (VFR), next to dense rubber estates and forests, makes it one of the most attractive guest houses in India. The guest house has furnished rooms for both short and long-term stays. In addition to hosting visitors, VFR is also used to host meetings and small gatherings of the institute.

Ans. IISER TVM offers the INSPIRE- SHE Award for Students aged 17 to 22 years who are pursuing courses in natural and basic sciences at the MS, BS and Int MSc levels. I appreciated the things in my college is the infrastructure . Infrastructure of this college is very very good . I think no need of any improvement in my college all things are very very good .
My campus life is very very good but the thing is I don't get time to do extracurricular activities and all even though my all time is went to studies and a very small time to badminton .my course is very good to develop skills this is what my maths
Professor believes rather than learning.Faculties have very very good qualification they achieved top rankings in world for best research position and they are the top researchers and infrastructure of this college is very very good

This course provides both industry as well as research option to opt what they want .and this course teach us to build your own empire rather than join as a employee because faculty more encourage towards developing a idea rather than copying .this course provides critical thinking , entrepreneurial skills business innovation idea and to solve problems real life .the teaching methods is very good .the frequency of timing of exams is 2 hour in mid term which was 30% and 3 hour in end term which was 50% and remaining is quizzes and assignment

Placement scenario of the campus

Placement cell are not established yet and this year they will start on campus placement before that they are connecting online with companies to students and they got placed but I think this year they will develop a placement cell . In this college most of the student pursue higher education rather than taking jobs so this the thing and employability is around 95-98% from given data and placement cell is not established but most students pursue higher education so there is not avg package but median package is there 18lpa of 2021-2022 and 8 lpa of 2022-2023 .my plans after getting my degree is to pursue mba from IIM ahemdabad or Stanford or Harvard any of them .

Fees of the course per year and scholarship available in the college

The year wise fee for iiser TVM is 1 lac for gen and for sc st and PWD tution fee is waiver means they have to pay only for hostel , mess and other facilities . Tution fee is 40k , admission fee is around 35k , lab fee and other including charges is ~ 10k for all hostel and all for mess is ~14 k this is all for per semester .and for sc and st and PWD they don't have to pay tution fee . There are many scholarship which was avail by my batchmate and me , I got inspire scholarship from dst gov of India and amount of scholarship is 60k per annum while my friends got reliance foundation scholarship and amount is 40k per annum .for inspire scholarship you have to be in top 10 k in jee advance and top 1% in state .

Events, clubs and facilities available in the campus

The annual festival is around 15-20 but the main annual fest is ishya .holi ,diwali ,onam , halloween , freshers , garba and all there are many more . The facility in classroom is ac rooms , smart board, projectors , computers . There are many sports ,table tennis , badminton , tennis , cricket , football , basketball ball ,chess ,carrom , and many more . Student run social group and clubs there many clubs like for academic there are psit - physics society of iiser TVM similarly cmit - club of mathematics iiser TVM and csit and coding club and sports club , and many more

Facilities provided in the college hostel and its fees per semester

Hostel facility 24×7 water , electricity . Wifi with 3gbps .and twice bed room is given to students with 2 almira , 2 cuboard and two study table with chair and balcony .meal quality is good except lunch because the meal is more towards south dishes and I am from north so I don't like too much . Hostels are located in college itself and their rent is 3330rupee per semester .

Students view on faculties

I think nearly 1:2 .this for maths department . faculty are the very friendly with students and faculty are the mentors of student they teach us how to do good in life rather than academics and all . I liked my all faculties of maths but I liked most prof mp Rajan , prof utpal manna , prof sheetal dharmati , prof dhanya t rajendran prof viji z Thomas .this are the very good proffesor they taught me how to do good in life as well as academic .in maths the exams are too tough reason behind this to develop critical thinking in students .this course Is relevant to develop entrepreneurial skills , business and innovation idea , to solve problems .I think 10% students fail in exam then they will give repeat exam then some of them will pass and remaining will fail and they have to again repeat that course if the student fail more than 4 subject then he have to repeat whole semester .to approach faculty we can mail or we have their contact no. Also so we can send a sms as well

Admission process and eligibility criteria

I applied for iiit Ranchi cs and got confirmed from their and I not applied any other I applied only here I choose this because this Is the only college which provides both research as well industry with top class education .no I not get rejection from any other colleges .my college admission process is jee advance you have to achieve under 8000 rank crl for gen category iiser aptitude test (iat) the cutoff was around 2.8 k and the no. Of student sit in exam around 1.5lac .overall admission experience is good and easy .

Various facilities and hangout places in college premises

The college is safe to roam around but this college is situated in western ghat forest so there is common to found snakes and other fauna .so there is gym timing 6 am to 6pm , I cafe , j cafe ,red cafe , tasty , Ankita and cake world these are the cafe's .hostel is no timing there is curfew for first year students for 10pm to 6 am and campus timing is 24 hr available . Famous hangout places inside I think near cake world this is the most beautiful place and outside is bonyacad , ponmudi , and tea farms and all .

All basic needs for a student is available within the campus itself.Separate academic blocks for chemistry,physics and biology departments.Separate building for classes called lecture hall complex.I cafe for tea and snacks.there are also shops
Campus is very natural place and have library,health centre

Dislikes

Away from the trivandrum city makes us to take 2 hour of journey in bus

Admission:

The college's syllabus structure is very comfortable.it have 2 year of foundation course where every subjects of science plus one humanities course is taught .It will develop a student to have basic under of all subjects.Form 3rd year onwards students can select one major subject and one minor subject so that they can follow their favourite subject

Life through the Labs

Likes

Safe for girls. You can simply take a midnight walk hothouse bothering for safety
Nature wise if we judge it's very good amazing Kerala whether with hill view right from your balcony and rainy cool all the time

Dislikes

Language won't be an issue in college but in general it's a Keralite dominating campus though you won't feel it a lot until you are a part of a few events.
Mountains so we have to climb climb and climb all the time.

Admission:

It's a research oriented college where you get complete exposure to labs and pure research. Faculty here aren't just profs they are researchers too so you get that environment. And admission process is easy enough you give an IAT exam and then qualify it to take part in the counselling process similar to JEE or NEET.

One of the most beautiful campus in india

Likes

Safety for students. Be it anytime, you can roam around the campus freely without any concerns.

Dislikes

The campus is situated almost in forest. It's really very far from town.
Social life here is pretty messed up, due to time management issue

Admission:

I applied for two colleges and got those two too. I got for bsc chemistry in one of them, which I was not interested in. And biochemistry in other. I didn't choose any of those because I wanted a integrated degree and wanted to study in an institute of national importance. That's why I chose this institute. I applied for two and got those too. I wrote many entrances for practice. Then at last I give IAT EXAM for iiser admission. In my times there was three channels (KVPY, IAT, JEE ) to enter iiser. I entered through iat channel. Iat means IISER aptitude test. The mark of this exam is not provided on the rank card. For the rank cutoff I will say it will be around AIR 2000 for general category. This information is regarding the IAT 2023

I applied for this college beacuse it is one of great colleges for research studies in india. I firstly wanted to join NISER, but honestly the paper level was too high for me . Admission process take usually one day with all the documents they had told us to bring , it was very orderes with respect to systems in other colleges

IISER Thiruvananthapuram at a glance

Likes

Very spacious and well equipped science laboratories, for all Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Different buildings for each stream.
Classes are very comfortable, with AC all the time. Good facility of Computer Labs, studying spaces for students along with a nice library.

Dislikes

Administration is not very strong, they always like to implement useless things and want students to accept it happily.
Since it is within the hills, communication is not very easy. There are spotting of wild animals within the campus. Reaching the campus can be difficult since it takes almost 2 hours by cab from the railway station or airport.

Admission:

The complete eligibility criteria can be obtained from the official website of the IISER Admission Test. The application can be found at the website, around April-May of each year. After filling in the application form you have to appear for IAT, the IISER Aptitude Test. Based on the ranks, one can get various IISERs during counselling. There is also a channel for KVPY and JEE advanced but the functionality of those channels from this year is questionable. The difficulty of the exam is moderate, any entrance examination preparation would suffice. The reservation of the various categories are the same as any other institution.

I took IISER Aptitude Test. You should paas class 12% with a minimum percentage that they have mentioned on their official site. The exam has 4 subjects. The level is kind of JEE mains. There are two exams : Mid-sem and End-sem and 1-2 quiz in between the semester for every subject

Review of Iiser student

Likes

Campus Life is very chill with a pressure of exams but you can enjoy
Beauty of campus it is the most beautiful campus in whole all iiser

Dislikes

Institute is far from the heart of the city it is in an western ghat forest.
Out side of our campus cost of food is little costly

Admission:

Eligibility is plus 2 with atleast 60 percentage for general students and atleast 55 for sc/st students. We have to give a exam called IAT(IISER APTITUDE TEST). If you qualify in that test ,as per ur rank you will get a Iiser. Application form generally releases during the first week of March every year and application fees and other details you can directly see from there Iiser official site. All details about exam pattern and course available are listed on the site itself. For those who have reservations you essentially need to secure less marks as compared to general students and exam is also not that hard. It's nearly neet level or slightly more conceptual rather then formula. And for those who have reservations they will pay nearly 50000 and for general and observation it's 117000 per year consisting 2 semester. The subject during entrance is physics chemistry math biology. You can attempt all subjects or any of those there is no restriction on how many subjects to attempt.

IISER TVM through my eyes

Admission:

There was a written exam that was MCQ and online proctored exam. After clearing that written test, candidates were called for online interview round 1 and if one cleared that, there was another round 2. After clearing all these three steps, candidates were provisionally selected. Let me mention one thing here that all these processes were online from home and well proctored while web cam was on whole time. One can easily find the application form that is activated in the month of March-April and last date is usually 30th April, exam is conducted in month of May and interview in June. Application fee was 1000? as far as I remember.

You should qualify 12 with min 55% mark for (sc,St) and 60% for general.after qualifying your 12th you have to give iiser applitude test.which is of 240 total marks consist of 4 subjects pcmb.you can find application in IAT official website application fee is around 1000for reserved category and 2000 for general and OBC.
