Well during my batch there was ample time and mostly being at home wasn't my kind. I took a lot of internships mostly in Hilton and there's ample of opportunities to do internship as we have almost one semester dedicated for our industrial training and we undergo various departments. Considering the hotels having a busy operations they do take a lot of students from various hotels across india and we are placed as per our outreach to the particular hotel and if we get selected. The stipend during my training phase had been very limited but now the market is doing better and better stipend is being provided

As part of our syllabus, every second year student must go for internship in a 5 star hotel. Top companies like marriott international , hyatt group of hotels , taj , itc hire our students for the internship. Its normally a 4month training where students are given field experience

4 months industrial training Each month dedicated to one department Provided by college/ self - depending on our needs This is a part of a semester and is evaluated Each person will have different company depending on their preferences

Novotel had 4000 per month stipend but most of the other companies had between 1000-1500 only as a stipend The internship is a tough time as we are entering for the first time in the industry, but as time passes we will manage it. We will be assigned to all 4 core departments during the 4 months

Very vast opportunities are given to the students in the case of training and job every year many companies come from all over the world to take students to the industry Interviews are held every year of 6th semester.

4-month internship programs are arranged by the college. As per our area of interest. If we can arrange an internship with our own college will do the necessary.

My college was situated just right next to the famour samudra beach and the world renowned Kovalam beach and the vizihijam port which was still under construction at that point of my study. I did my internship from Royal tulip luxury hotel in Kharghar Navi Mumbai.

Top companies such as The Oberoi group of hotels, wild flower hall, The Oberoi Shimla, Raj vilas, barista coffee limited, solitaire, Ananda in Himalayas, welcome group of hotels, grand intercontinental and many more visited our college during my batch and recruited students for the positions of food quality assurance manager, production super wiser, food technologists, marketing manager etc. The average starting salary ranges from 4 to 7 LPA. Internships were also offered to students across cafeterias, NGO's, fast food restaurants.

The highest package offered at my time was around 11 Lakh per annum and the lowest was 3 LPA. IMHCT has maintained 80% placement record from the last few years and have achieved a very good success in placing most of the students in top companies. During my college, I have arranged for my internship in Mumbai with Novotel which is a very good hotel property with stipend of 18,000 per month. The recruiting areas in this field includes sales and marketing, food and beverage services, front office operations etc with job roles such as management trainee, cabin crew, kitchen management trainee and customer relation executive.

The placement opportunities for the students were in abundance. Many renowned companies used to visit the institute every year. I got great opportunities after completion of my course because the placement cell.
