IHMCT was founded in the year 2010 by the Ministry of Tourism and is affiliated with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). The institute offers a B.Sc programme in Hospitality and Hotel Administration of 3-years duration also a Short term Diploma courses of 1.5 years each.

Admission to B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, is based on NCHMCT JEE entrance examination and students with a minimum of 5580 ranks can have admission to the programme. Selection will be done through counseling, conducted by NCHMCT. Counseling will be three rounds.

IHMCT Kovalam B.Sc Hospitality and Hotel Administration Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate should have passed in 12th/Intermediate or its equivalent from any recognized board/university in all subjects.
The Aspirant qualifies the qualifying exam with English as one of the subjects.
Candidates appearing in 10+2 can also appear in JEE 2024 on a provisional basis, the candidate has to produce proof of qualifying exam at the time of counseling.
Candidate should be qualified in NCHMCT Joint Entrance Examination.

How to apply for IHMCT Kovalam?

Ans. Yes, IHMCT is well known for placement, about 30+ hotel groups are coming to the college for placement and near about 80% of the students passing out from college get placed from the college campus.

Ques. Does IHMCT conduct admission through any other process?

Ans. No, there is no other process to take admission to IHMCT; selection of candidates shall be done purely on rank obtained in NCHMCT Joint Entrance Examination.

Ques. Is hostel available for college students inside the campus?

Ans. Yes, there is a residential hostel facility inside the campus; all students admitted for the regular courses can stay in the hostel, 3 students are accommodated in one room.

Ques. On what criteria IHMCT provide scholarships?

Ans. Institute provides a scholarship for their students based on their family annual income (Not more than 1Lakh annual income) and also on performance-based.

Students have to write an entrance test called NCHM-JEE which happens once every year. Its not a tough exams and can be easily cleared with average knowledge. Admission:

I got in through the nchmct jee exam held in the month of May and got 1908 AIR and got the opportunity to enter into my college of which the course started on July 20. All the uniform and the study material was provided by the the college after the first induction day.

The admission is a very simple process in which you need a 12th class degree with at least 50% marks and English as one of its major subjects. You can apply for the college online and fill in the fees. The students who have a bachelor degree can also apply to the course. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks that the students have obtained in the previous examinations. My name appear in the first merit list and i was granted admission in the college after going through a counselling session.
